Items arrived! thumbup.gif

special thanks to alucard and tvcat (and anyone else who helped me out) in my first experience doing taobao without agent! Will probably do this again for small personal items, but for important things i'll use agents. thumbup.gif

(I sell mechanical keyboards btw, but now using old one because one customer couldn't wait and kept asking me to sell him mine so I did, now waiting for mine that comes along with new stock. laugh.gif )

I placed a furniture order and shipped via Taobao global direct shipping.

However, I was informed that the furniture are rejected by the warehouse due to oversize packing.

What can i do about this?
*
Probably contact agent and use their warehouse services

Would like to ask, have u guys ever been taxed by customs from buying in taobao? My previous order was around rm800 and people was telling me anything over rm500 will be taxed, but somehow i wasnt..used 4px to consolidate
*
From what I understand, Chinese imports are the least likely to be taxed among all other countries (but obviously the heavier it is, say above 10kgs, be afraid, use an agent)

other than that.. let's not talk about it too much, later bijan's men can smell an opportunity to songlap. hmm.gif

lol...it's ok

i got this notification dy --->【海外】您的包裹已被中通集运仓正常出库
it means my parcel is in delivery process...which means the dimension thing refers to each side not exceeding 120cm, not total dimension (phew!)

but 商家正通知快递公司揽件 means seller requested the courier to withhold your item, keep yourself updated to it.

Currently my personal agent (student based student in UTAR) offers me Rm12 per kg for non sensitive goods and Rm12 for sensitive goods with a one off batch payment of Rm26 while using SkyNet as the forwarding agent.. may i know how is this possible? If anyway, i would like to order by myself because i would save a lot from agent fees of 10%.. my order is usually Rm1k, (mostly sensitive goods such as Lipo batteries).. if any sifu can help, sincere thanks from me here ya!
*
never use non-agent method for business. Only personal items.

Yes i do understand that, but how can my agent provide price at rm12 since Skynet is at RMB32? It is about Rm20 and my agent is providing me shipping service for rm12..
*
RM12/KG

if it's 1.1KG, it will be RM24.

RMB32 is flat rate on most items weighing 4KGs and below.

I don't think your 1k worth of lipo batteries would cost only RMB32 to ship.

Yes it costs more to ship all of them.. i mean just 1 kg.. oh so rmb32 is not for the first kg? What do u mean by rmb32 is flat rate? Sorry for the poor understanding ><
*
Don't worry, this is what the thread is for, for educational purposes. nod.gif

RMB32 is not per kg calculation. I am not too sure how the system calculates it but at check out (before you pay) the shipping rate will be calculated, most of the time it's 32, sometimes 54, most recently mine is 72 for a large controller (huge box)

Basically: Global Direct Shipping does not have a first kg or per kg rule, it is mostly calculated by the system as they see fit. Global Direct Shipping is also handled mostly by Skynet.

My guesses would be:
1) Agents charge 12/kg, but in reality it might be 10/kg - part of their commission (I don't blame them, their job is super tough and not worth the time and money)
2) Taobao has made deals with courier companies to lower rates to ship direct to SEA to increase appeal to customers. <-- This is a more likely scenario than the first.

Also, I don't understand why this isn't included in this thread yet or maybe I just missed it, TS please pin on first post

Taobao Malaysia hotline (for Taobao Global Direct Shipping and other matters) - 1800-807-178

Have English service. The people are from China and have a hard time speaking English, but they're very friendly and will try their best to assist. You can feel that there is a different type of attitude typically found in Malaysian call centres.

Best to have a friend who speaks Chinese to standby with you also.

Call centre hours: 9AM-6PM. Not sure if Sunday is open or not.

I don't want to call, I don't want to show my temper.

I don't want shout and scold them.

Service is bad, delivery have to wait for 2 weeks or 3 weeks.
*
Explain to me a few things yeah, so I can weigh in, I buy a lot of clothes and furniture from taobao. Quote my post and fill in your answer below my questions.

1) How many items you buy in this batch?

2) How many sellers in this batch?

3) Why do you think 2~3 weeks? Who said?

4) Your own account or you use agent? This is important because agents are here on LowYat for a reason, their work is very hard and a lot of stress, because they take the stress from you and give you peace of mind when shopping from Taobao.

5) What shipping service you use?

If it is like your previous post, only mouse, micro USB cable, etc. Next time just buy from shop or people at Garage Sales, pricing not that different. People usually buy electronics from Taobao if nobody here sell. Pricing on Lazada is about the same and it is generally faster.

1. Many items that your brother bought
2. The parcel record shows that still on the way.
3. My brother use, I didn't use.
4. Maybe PosLaju or Skynet
*
Next time just buy yourself.. cost of living all increase like mad, it is understandable to be a cheapskate.

95% of all Taobao purchases from China by air mail will reach within 14 days after order + payment is made nowadays. I can't help you out if you are unable to provide with extra details... You're not even sure if your brother using agent.. or direct shipping.. or consolidate shipping...

Skynet + Poslaju is used for agent and direct shipping.

Impossible for Skynet + Poslaju to take more than 2 days (semenanjung) to deliver to your house after clear from kastam. Especially little items like your cable (no sensitive item).

Hi, so one of my item is taking too long to arrive to warehouse (dex) in guangzhou
It was posted last Monday, and last update was Wednesday as you can see here

[attachmentid=7320099] [attachmentid=7320125]

How can I know which courier the seller use with the tracking no?
Or should I just contact dex to double check if it has arrived?
*
warehouse not answering phone calls. I bet seller is using a courier service which calls receiver before attempting delivery.

check in the same page, who is the 物流公司?

QUOTE(Xakiox @ May 16 2020, 09:26 AM)
My agent already suspended GDEX service because they are severely overloaded. A LOT of parcels from china are stuck at gdex, even those cleared from custom on April 29/30. Sea freight delivered by ABX is now faster than air freight using gdex.

Might lodge a report soon due to inaction from gdex.
Their CS claims no responsibility whatsoever, says it's not their problem cos tracking number is not in their system (this is because they haven't pick up/scan/update tracking).
*
lodge a report with who yea?
