Last night my housemate told me about how good FF is. Because it consumes less ram and also have a number of awesome plug-ins. I'm a chrome user atm. Should I change or remain? Hmmmm

There is no such thing as the best browser. Liking a browser is like art, it's subjective to everyone's opinion. You have to explore each browser thoroughly until you find 1 that's suitable for you. Like me, I always prefer Maxthon. Tried several browsers, still going back to Maxthon because of it's functionality. I don't use plug-ins hence why Maxthon is still my priority. yulechan liked this post

i think firefox is the best because of the plugins:
adblock, linkification, open image in new tab, flashblock, imageblock, etc This post has been edited by Skylinestar: Sep 10 2015, 12:18 AM |

Maxthon for live!!! It's not the best, but certainly have many great built in features. The only thing I hope they improve is smoother scrolling as smooooooooooooooooooooooooth as like Ms Edge...
*ahem* Seriously though, is RAM even an issue nowadays? They are still quite cheap. |

Nobody like Edge? I think it is quite good compared to the old IE. For me, it is actually comparable to Chrome & Firefox if you're not into add-ons.

For websites compatibility issues such like print a PDF statement from KWSP, Firefox > Chrome. I really can't find any different between Chrome and Firefox but I'm using both web browser frequently in the same time. Firefox makes me feel slower probably is just because their logo designing. Actually they have not much different for me. I am using Firefox as my default web browser for my personal gaming PC, there has not much reason to explain why I like to set Firefox as my default web browser because I've been using it more than 10 years. I am using Google Chrome in my office PC but I have to install an extra Firefox for my backup browser because sometimes when I print bank statement from PB Enterprise, google Chrome won't load the PDF file. It will became to download a webpage but not a PDF file. I have to use Firefox because it has better compatibility on such online banking, KWSP, myasnb PDF statement printing.

Windows 7?in terms of ram usage (best to worse): ie > edge > chrome > ff I tried IE a lot for fallback incase some website does not work, IE is the worst browser lol, most of the time it's just spinning circle, aka unresponsive. IE currently is the only way to play youtube in h264, old GPU definitely need it because in other browser it play VP9 instead, will choke any low end CPU to death. new browser will make used of Direct2D/WebGL with GPU acceleration, http://www.fishgl.com/ is one of the example, if you lurking long enough you probably know Quake2 and CS1.6 can be played in browser already. It's kinda depends on system as well. |
