QUOTE(Matrix @ Sep 7 2015, 03:33 PM) I love PJ! Will not stay anywhere else! HDBs are deceptivemy grandmas one is like a PPk low cost flat here, back then people used to pee in the lift and its filthy as fuck. some places in sg are still like that my own family place is nice 1k ish sq ft, but its tiresome and you are restricted to just 1. that also the noise, god the noise. but important part about hDB is that how its done, you kinda have to qualify for it, and thats if theres enough allocation for units a year. some of them are not in great areas and can take up to 30 mins walk to MRT others side by side the bangala areas. if you dont however, then it might be secondary market which can get quite expensive, or private housing my sis thankfully managed to get HDB, she had to under declare her income and kinda has fears the government finds out. all of these also doesnt take into the account that HDB is a leasehold property with hefty laws (like no cats) that kinda defy the freedoms you get with standard malaysian property. QUOTE(+3kk! @ Sep 7 2015, 03:38 PM) HDBs are deceptive Maybe those are old flats? My relative's one is clean and nice all round. Maybe in long run no good...maintenance sucks? Come to think of it, do they have a management like typical Condo/Apartments? yes old, but slap centre of the city but importantly the crowd around that area is just crap. used to be all sg, uncle and aunties now all china fucks. all the places i grew up loving and frequenting became china fuckaland and yes they do bring their filthy habits. its very convenient tho.the maintenance is ok, comparatively quite good but its a bit different than those here, its not much of an issue. the issue on new flats if you ask me is more on it being the wealth sucking machine it is, you cannot own another property when you have a HDB property, if you buy a car you have to pay parking all days a week cept sunday (i think), then theres the void deck which can get a tad bit very noisy (if you think mosques are bad), if you want to do business out of it, it needs HDB approval...etc etc. if you are ok with all of those and still are willing , then stand in line and wait lo, hope you are lucky to get one in a nice area and a wonderful place. if not then you get parked in some little china and curse your luck for eternity |

QUOTE(WooTz @ Sep 7 2015, 04:18 PM) It's a pretty tight island yeah, that's the biggest headache. I think the rental/hosuing cost thr cant do anything about it, its a small island nation...But hey, you won't hear me complaining my easy RM8000 salary House and highrise are bound to be escalating rapidly as land is scarce... No use blame sg gomen oso... Yeah regarding the rental in malaysia oso same rate rent by room, maybe cheaper... But ur salary in sg x3 is de winner... If u can save diligently is way a step ahead compared to us in malaysia |
