Hi wanna ask my iphone 6 is currently on IOS 11.2 and i feel quite lag, is it ok to upgrade to IOS 12.4.7? Thanks.

Don’t think it will make much of a difference, I think iOS 10 was the safety threshold for iPhone 6. I did find 12 to be a lot more bug-free then 11 back in the day, but even if it does help with the lag I would imagine it’d only be marginal.

Since your phone is already on 11 and lagging, I submit that there’s probably no harm trying to update to 12. But that’s my view, probably check with current owners first!

my mom iphone 6+ sometimes didnt get any coverage , no signal .. need to restart then back to normal .. should i send it for repair ?

i am still using it as my secondary phone with hotlink sim card. it is still my daily phone for web surfing and youtube.

totally usable. still on ios 10. speed wise is still ok.

only prob is can longer game on it.

iPhone 6s is same as iPhone 5s that has 6 iOS version supported.

a friend of mine also facing the same issue , but he said oh well it happen once in a while , he also had no idea whats the problem .. he said don't send it for repair or else the technician touch here and there and become lots worst in the future

Ya likewise, I did not send it for repair.. its my spare phone now, so i dont use it and the battery definitely needs replacement. Wondering if i should sell it as is or just keep it.. haha

better sell it .. believe me spare phone end up collecting dust .. previously got a iphone 4 as spare phone , end up im not using it at all .. then i gave it to my niece to use it , the best part was she trade in the phone and buy herself samsung android phone .. i had no idea how much the shop take the iphone 4 for trade in , never asked my niece bout that , btw it's good rather then throw the phone into the river

not really. i still have 1 x iphone 4, 2 x iphone 4s. i kept them as souvenirs and they are still functioning except that they are super slow now.

the recent older iphones are totally different story, they are overpowered at the time of launch, like my iphone 6 plus, it has been almost 6 years, and it does not show slowness for day to day usage such as web browsing or youtube. only prob is not able to play those intensive games anymore. i will just pass this phone to my mum to use after i got the iphone 12 pro max this year. becos it is still in perfect condition as well, no scratches etc. still looks quite good in term of outlook. it will be more worthy to pass to seniors at home who does not need such high processing power than buying cheap brand new android phones for them to use.

Apple just released iOS 12.4.9 for iPhone 6. Wow. It's impossible for Android to release security patches for such an old phone.
