I used to have Asus n series (n56vz, I sold it off last month), which was an all rounder. Came with a mini subwoofer thing from bang n Olufsen. Was capable of gaming moderately (newest game tried before settling off was GTA V).
It was priced 2799 when i bought it in Miri, I'm guessing it should be around 3k nowadays. Might want to check its latest iteration.

Try upping the gpu to 850, add 4gb more ram (so u get dual channel), dvd drive and get 15.6" screen. Wonder hi is much that would cost you.
Btw, that's dell... What you said ROG, is supposed to be from Asus.

Looks like the vostro is more tuned for longer battery life, since it uses only X30 class gpu and U icore processor - as compared to n series. Anyway, TS didn't really give enough detail, just that it should be a good all rounder. Not sure leaning more towards business use, gaming use, or just media consumption use.

hi, you bought d? if yes, which brand?
actually MSI CX series is within your budget below RM3K.. suit your requirements as it supports HDMI 1.4 for HD pictures (multimedia).. then with GT940M can play games also..
