Hey...I'm not water heater sifu but I have experience previously finding water heater for my new house. What you should consider:
- if your house water pressure is low, you need the heater with pump.
- then, consider with dc pump or ac pump (not sure this term is correct or not). ac pump is very noisy.
this is my 10 cents smile.gif
- i think the best is with dc pump
- the one advertise i think is without pump.

We have 3 units that are fitted with DC pumps. Two of them are the rainshower models and one is the regular type.. smile.gif

What you are showing is instant water heater. There are other types of water heater - the type using gas or electric to heat the water in tank, solar water heater, etc.

For instant water heater better get the one with pump especially if you are staying in apartment/condo. You will get better water shower with high water pressure. Better brands offer better quality and longer warranty period (with 5 years warranty for pump). Electrolux, Panasonic, Joven, Alpha are the better brands here in Malaysia.

U can try without pumps. Get the plumber to connect direct to your water heater. Many houses are doing this. Save on the pumps and servicing, and most likely, if grounded pumps, lightning strike.

Panasonic is good and reasonably priced. You might want to try this brand, Rubine. They were formerly known as Elba. Quite reliable and lower priced than Panasonic.

Cheers!

I buy two of those alpha basic water heater model....

Going strong the last 8 years no breakdown at all...

But the unit is in lower lvl floor condo so the pressure is pretty strong....

Alpha brand for water heater i can say quite heavy duty...

Weekend price is cheaper than weekdays and after vouchers, it was rm331.96
Quite a good deal! Cheaper more than rm100+ compare to physical store.
I received it within 3 days.

Oh. That's unfortunate.. sad.gif

But on the bright side, they did last for a reasonable 4 years. Besides, you also got a good reason to buy new appliances and modernise your bathroom., laugh.gif

yeah. two of my Jovens died around the same time.
Anyway, when i comes to instant water heater, I do plan to change it every 5 years.
This kind of things better don't use it for too long....if you know what i mean.

True, it's safer to change electrical appliances regularly. Especially appliances that are constantly in contact with water..

I usually change it once the white plastic starts to look yellowish.. just hate that.. haha.. laugh.gif

A water heater with pump does make a lot of difference.
I'm experience it myself. Am shopping for a new heater as my existing Joven pump just kaput.
With pump, the water just trickles.

I was told that AC pump has better water pressure, but noisier.
DC pump is quieter but relative less pressure.

Its not alot difference lah....probably just like 20% better.

The costs does not justify the difference. Better yet install a pump for whole house.

That is incorrect. Furthermore AC pump spoil easier.

Missed the chance to install a main pump during house reno.
I will stick with the instant heater.
In my hse area the water pressure is really low.

Sorry for some adjustment..i mistake AC as DC.

Overall DC pump would be better compared to AC
