That would be only if that company gets into gaming like how Telstra is in Australia.
But then again whos to know? Its in talks but according to the article a ministrial decision will be made if its not done. Its like a threat to rotan you if you don't do your homework There is also talks of a direct submarine fiber cable from Msia to US, so you might see our flow of data go from MY > SG > US > SG > MY to MY > US > MY, meaning our ping to SG would increase and latency to US decrease. |

would not be a suprised.. malaysia boleh... tmnet always degrading.
if we got better pings in us , we may change server to US instead. cheaper. meanwhile WE AS A COMMUNITY should work together in getting our voices heard. i have send loads of spams to EA for them to show us some love. if you have something cooked up pls let everyone knows so that we can lend u a hand. |

q1. if the ping to singapore becomes as high as the ping to US, then fragnetics wouldnt be a viable place to host our own ranked server anymore?
q2. the upside is that since there are more servers in the US than in singapore, so wider choices for servers to play in? |

q1. it would be the case, speculatively
q2. yes, we could get a ranked server there, but the best will always be in Msia, no need to travel those nauticle miles It will lessen my latency to WoW servers tho... and all games hosted in US This post has been edited by Rel Centurica: Nov 18 2006, 06:00 PM |

its great that MIX will be up and running soon...
however just because your post office is set up doesnt mean that its as fast to send a letter to overseas than to your neighbour we are getting pings of about 180 - 300ms to US from SG, as a guide... |

QUOTE(isidorechan fragnetics @ Nov 19 2006, 03:54 AM) its great that MIX will be up and running soon... What an analogy... rofl... and aptly applicable to Malaysia's post offices however just because your post office is set up doesnt mean that its as fast to send a letter to overseas than to your neighbour we are getting pings of about 180 - 300ms to US from SG, as a guide... |

I dun think SG directly go to US...
If I'm not mistaken My>SG>HK>US Logically SG ping to US slightly lower then us by 100~150ms... Even in future I don't think the structure will be the same connection with SG, the only the different we can directly access to US perhaps.... no TmNut monopoly... What you guys should look out is the VDSL services... this service not to be joking.... so you can say Tak Nak to TmNut hopefully.... BTW next generation connection will totally electrical type... TNB? hehehe Since now TmNut so X C about their service.. never think about in future... I'm looking forward how their subscriber (US) terminate their services YEA!... I'm another pissed off customer of TmNut Just my 2 cents.. not flaming anything or anyone |
