It would take forever to upload back the ratio if upload is set to 15. But if it cause download speed to drop alot, then what to do. We must always try to upload back or else p2p community will suffer.

You can try bandwidth monitor.

I don't use it anymore because I am using maxthon browser. It comes with it's own bandwidth monitor.

TUOTU AND ME

I have one instant of 99.9% even after hash check. I just let it download to 100%.

Another time Toutu got corrupted. I can't upload and download. I uninstall and reinstall and the problem is solved.

Recently after I format and reinstall winxp because I change a new display card (crazy winxp says my copy is illegal after I change my display card, so I format and install a fresh copy and you know what? I cant activate my copy and end up calling microsoft and pour my frustration on them. They activated my copy)

Toutu download speed was so slow (10-20k/s)with the fresh copy of windows. So I tweak the ethernet card mtu to 1492, my router mtu is also 1942 and I cant reach above 40 k/s. Then I tweak my ethernet card mtu to 1500 whereas my router mtu is still 1492.

The speed came back. Now is between 70 - 110 k/s

I dump nsw 2005 and zonealarm pro and use NIS 2006 and tuotu crashing computer problem disappear.

If you have problem connecting to peers or trackers, just set the half connection in tuotu to 200 (tcpip must must be patched to 256 and above). When you have reach enough peers then set it back to 20 or 25, or whatever your setting is.

It works for me, but I don't know if it will work for you guys.

I never download through private tracker, but tuotu does have problem connecting to trackers unlike other clients I have used. Maybe why tuotu installation setup include tcpip patch.

Just my guess.

Just tested fcosspeed today. I discover that I still can surf internet with page loading quite fast even tuotu is running at full speed. Will let fcosspeed run at a few days to see how it goes.

It seems that tuotu does not work for everyone. Some can get full speed, some get half of their bandwidth and for some, tuotu has low or no speed. At least vpn services provide a way out. I hope tmnut will not be able to throttle tuotu completely.

cfosspeed works for me with tuotu. I love it because now I can surf while downloading with tuotu. Without cfosspeed surfing is like dialup.

Yes for tuotu you have to wait for the speed to pick up.

I use default for cfosspeed. Since it set http as high priority so tuotu will be under normal priority athough you can add it in and set to low priority. I have tried it but tuotu disconnect and lost all connections after a while. I have to restart tuotu to get connections again. So using default with "favour bandwith" is the best I think.

I also find the new version of tuotu is slower. I am going to change back to the Toutu sp2

Maybe the bugs in the older version is causing tmnut throttling to be less effective. Hmm, maybe bugs do have their usefulness afterall.

QUOTE
I dled a file via Tuotu and it showed its progress at 83.3% but when I transferred it to Utorrent it dropped to 40.9%. Thats like 50% gone into thin air? Can somebody clear this up for me because the file is massive and 50% is like 5 gigabytes gone.
POOF~~!!!

If you recheck it back with tuotu, will it go back to 83%? Maybe you should try different version of tuotu.

My bt download speed now is about 30k/s sad.gif
Normal download speed <20k/s. It would start at about 1/2 a meg and a few second later, drops to less than 20k/s

Still can't surf most international websites. sad.gif
I wonder how long I have to wait before the speed comes back. I hope it not another 2 - 3 months vmad.gif

My speed today is around 10kb/s mad.gif
Digital tsunami reminds me of the days before internet, you only get news from the newspaper and tv.

One week is over and 2 more weeks to go. Will Taiwan able to repair on time? After finish repair tmnuts have to revert bandwidth back to original. How long will tmnuts takes to do it. Will tmnuts crash their systems again like 2 months before?

How long will I have to wait? vmad.gif vmad.gif vmad.gif
Tmnuts + digital tsunami is drving me crazy. biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

I agree with you, Apocrypha. Take it easy guys.

Underground has done us much help, esp for people like me who can't read any China dialects.

Which bt client is better? One man's meat is the other man's poison.

So, if anyone willing to accept a simple answer, the one that works for you is better, just like what sotong168 says icon_rolleyes.gif

Anyone has problem with Microsoft Applocale tool? Torrent does not automatically open with tuotu although file association with tuotu is ticked. The torrent has rabbit icon. When I double click the torrent file, nothing happens. I have to open the torrent file from within tuotu. By the way, I am using Tuotu-2.1.0.61_sp2

Update: Today my tuotu is hopping at about 50kb/s smile.gif

If you enable UPnP in tuotu, then no need port forwarding.
