@nejin : Hi. RM500 is not enough for 8 night stay.. per night if you calculate cheapest RM90(30,000won-if you are lucky and can get la~) , also RM720 already..

food approximately breakfast lunch and dinner 10,000won+- (rm30) per day per person.. that is also if you eat cheap food.. because per meal might cost 5000won..

plus depends on where you go because quite alot of tourist attractions charge admission fee and such.. so it might get abit expensive..

the last time i went to Seoul for three nights also i spent almost RM700.. T__T all the Themepark admission fee + transportation fee (busan to seoul and back) killed my wallet lol.

@ycl90: malaysian ringgit is quite hard to change here in korea.. at least in Busan, alot of banks does not accept Malaysian ringgit .. the only place i know that can change is the airport la ._. lol

Really, don't worry about the accommodations. I don't really believe in Guest Houses because i've heard that some guest houses are really run down as they have quite high tourist occupancy..

Try any local motels that you can find on the streets.. The cheapest i've found is 30,000won which was nearby the local university (which allowed three people in the room thank goodness) and the most expensive is near MyeongDong, with prices ranging from 45,000won - 80,000won.. Don't worry about not having any place to stay in Korea!

Plus, if you stay in Motels, they will usually kick you + your luggage out by noon.. And it will be quite expensive to check in Before 7-8pm..So usually if I go travelling in Seoul, i will carry super light luggage because i will be lugging it about the entire day ..

Oh yeah.. but the motels are abit seedy looking lol. After all they are there for people to.. heh for a few hours and then leave.. If you don't mind lah, its the cheapest form of accommodation (in my opinion lol) And you need minimal korean language.. like to ask how much is the room, and asking to see the room first before paying and stuff...

Lotte World and Everland admission tickets would cost probably RM150-200.. I can't remember, print discount coupons off their website smile.gif .

And yeah i agree with Ycl90.. lets say you don't have breakfast, have super light lunch and splurge for dinner! When i went to Everland & Caribbean Bay, we didn't eat breakfast and lunch and had fantastic dinner.. So.. its up to you lah~

I have been to the aquarium in Busan.. frankly its so so lah .. i mean on a scale of 1-10 its probably like..6 or 7.. but do come down to Busan.. different kind of environment. Sorry a little biased lah but i prefer Busan than Seoul tongue.gif less people and beautiful place too, Busan smile.gif However if you want to come down to busan, the cheapest train (and the slowest too lol) would cost you around 25-30,000won (and that is extra money that you have to spend lol)

Oh one more place i should recommend you to visit is Sorak Mountain.. nearby Seoul (I haven't been but my friends say its super beautiful)~

And Itaewon is a lie ! Lol. I went there last month and .. . . . its just a street full of foreigners cheating other foreigners. I didn't walk around much but was really quite disappointed with Itaewon.. T____T

Sorry my response is so unorganised.

Has anyone been to Gwangju or Daegu? Thinking of going there before i leave ~

smile.gif glad to have helped everyone !

and sorry if you guys want me to bring you around Korea becuase i'll be leaving for good (back to msia) early July~ So I won't be there lah. Unless airasia has really cheap tickets tongue.gif

by the way, all motels are queen sized beds.. no twin, so you have to share the same bed as your roomie =p

and yeah some motels lah, especially if same sex they are ok .. but some they won't allow or some they will charge 10,000won extra ^^ so.. your luck lah.. usually if you find a motel, around that area got more wan .. so just walk in and ask to your hearts delight~

for me i prefer Everland than Lotte X) i went to Lotte in Winter and Everland last month.. although Lotte is much nearer (Jamsil Subway Station) and more convenient to access... Everland you have to take bus and change bus and alot of other stuff (need to do more reading to check the bus number and identify the korean hangul on the bus haha) .. Everland is much bigger than Lotte ! However, during winter, unless i suggest going to Lotte.. because it is after all the largest indoor park.. you don't wanna go sit rollercoasters and thrill rides in winter i swear. Everland is mostly outdoor and its really nice to go during Spring (the time i went) ^^

and @ Sfwong1 : yeah.. you have to be prepared for winter. .because everytime the weather changes here I fall sick.. coz body cannot get used to the temperature.. and the winter in Seoul is cruel...strong wind and snow.. in Busan not so bad (because its the south most and warmest part in korea lol) ..

yeap.. especially for touristy spots lah. the motel i went to last month at Annam station (nearby a national university) allowed three people stay ~ so.. i guess you just need to search at the right places ..

@Nejin :

Hi~ Em.. these days the weather in the afternoon is similar to malaysia.. very hot T___T but at least not humid, so won't sweat as much~

autumn.. for me i go around prancing in short pants lah but its just me ( i love cold weather lol) but i would recommend a light jacket and long sleeved shirts.. maybe jeans or trackpants (comfy!) will do as well ^^

CABI (which i assume is caribbean bay) is not inside everland, however they are located at the same area.. which is about 1 hour+ away from the city lol. you will have to buy two separate admission tickets though as they are separate parks .. the wooden rollercoaster at Everland is the highlight of the park! i waited two whole hours for it . haha.. and i went on a week day some more! goodness ..

@LoveBite

Haha.. im not Seoul master lah.. infact i've only been to Seoul twice.. If you sponsor me my stay and train ticket there i will become your guide geh X) hahaa.. but yeah, if you can make a trip down to Busan, i would gladly take you around ^^~
What is your itinerary like ? Include Busan?

Yeah i agree with Everland and Caribbean Bay .. haha ! Totally like knock out in the bus cos the bus trip is so far away! But if you plan to go to both everland and caribbean bay (you would probably need two days) you can stay at the resorts there.. it won't be very expensive either but need pre booking coz the last time i went (weekday and off peak) also full .___.
