Hi guys,

I have a question regarding unifi. I'm current subscribed to VIP10.

The ping i got from speedtest.net to tokyo is around average 102ms. I'm playing game in JP server which requires < 100ms ping.

Is it possible to improve the ping by router config?

if i upgrade my unifi to VIP20. does it help to improve ping?

Thank you.

Nope you cannot setup the router to have better pings, you just gotta find closer and stronger server. Upgrade might help a bit but not much. Unifi quite unstable nowadays, or has it always been like that?

yup, unifi is quite stable on my side. I'm feel that ~100ms is the best ping to tokyo from malaysia. I wonder if anybody can get lower than that.

I saw some approach online where mentioned VPN can help, but somehow i got higher ping (20-100ms more) yawn.gif

UniFi had much better peer routing to most of the country compare to VPN. So theoretically, using VPN will increase your ping. The only country that had improvement after using VPN to connect is China. UniFi peer routing to China sucks really bad, even worse than most other provider in Malaysia
