@geniousboy,
Honestly, I think Ur pretty well. Kudos rclxms.gif

I also think U should not consider locking ur $ in UTs for now. You can start learning and when U have the cash to spare [aside from the funds U kept aside for emergency purposes] U can look into UTs and what nots.

@geniousboy,
Unless U oredi haf substantial amount in the bank, U should act keep the $ in FD [at least that's MY opinion]. Use only the $ when U think U can afford it [ie. assuming U lose every cent are U still OK?]

@geniousboy,
Assuming U put the $ in UT / Stocks and if U lost ALL the $ U put in, would U still have some savings for emergency use?

@lin00b,
Y torture urself and live in worst living conditions when U can afford something better? Do U live to earn or earn to live? As U have no idea what ur going to use the $ to invest, I'm assuming ur current monthly savings is RM500 + 240 = RM740? Is that right? What % is that to ur current salary?

@suhaili jamlus,
Where would U store the stuff [sofa, beds, cupboards] now?! I suggest U look at purchasing those stuff onli after U've moved into a new home. 3 years is also a long time; anything can happen from now till then tongue.gif

@jeff_ckf,
Ur absolutely right.. a home is a home biggrin.gif Am sure most people would haf considered the loan factors before jumping into the purchase.

So, for how many years are U going to be paying 'rent' to the bank ?

@Syd_G,
I totally agree with U about making sure there's sufficient $ to finance the loan otherwise U stand to lose the entire house! *gulp*

@jeff_ckf,
Er... how long U intend to let the loan go on for is a more viable question; and what's ur monthly repayment?

Dad Bank Inc huh?! Can U check for me if he's got $ to loan me? biggrin.gif

@SKY 1809,
And what if U haf enough $ to pay off the house without taking a home loan? Should we still bother about taking a flexi home loan?

@SKY 1809,
But wouldn't the safe way be to get the house and then start finding opportunities to make $? And what if U oredi set aside some $ for those opportunities that arises?

@jeff_ckf,
I doubt BLR will shoot above 10% - U should haf gone for a fixed loan but well it's the risk U haf to take.

And Y would U terasa at what I said unless U haf the cash to pay off the loan?

I'm onli asking because I know Cash is King and am trying to liquidate some stocks to pay up for this house purchase of mine with as little loan as possible.
