@sunny2009,
After U have made the calculations and still think U can afford the RM150k car and RM500k house then go ahead and make the purchase. From what I see, it doesn't seem as if U can't afford it; but by spending additional RM650k, u will need to probably change your lifestyle a little bit; less entertainment, less going out, less splurging.

As a start, perhaps you can look at the RM500k house first. U really don't need the RM150k car and that's not going to bring you anything but liabilities hence U may want to consider that purchase only later. It may be nice to want a new car but it's no fun when U struggle every month to pay its instalment.

Also, from what I see... U may want to top up on your insurance - more so when you get married and have kids.

@pokeat,
Can U even get a loan as a student?! Part time work doesn't really quite count because U don't haf fixed income coming in. Ask urself if U really can afford the car.

@cracksys,
I know nuts about both but perhaps U should check out both the interest rates & restrictions on both and do a comparison. It also depends on how long U intend to pay the loan off; etc.

@cracksys,
Lol - no one's gonna give U their opinions then if you're gonna start blaming them for a decision U made ! tongue.gif

Personally, 8 years on a car loan is wayyyy too long; esp since the car's oredi 6 years old. You're gonna be looking at swapping the car even before ur loan's gonna be due!

@SKY 1809,
iYah... everyone here prefers a City/Vios to a local brand. Guess some people rather eat bread everyday than be seen in a local car tongue.gif

@besiegetank,
I totally understand [I drive a Honda Civic 2.0 and I bought it brand new] but sometimes it also boils down to affordability, ain't it? biggrin.gif

@cracksys,
If U can afford it then go ahead and get it; as to which particular loan to get; I don't know - I'm too bZ checking out the homeloans to look at these loans tongue.gif

@jasontoh,
I don't know about the Vios/CT you're referring to but my Honda Civic goes in for servicing every 5,000kms [or well, is supposed to!]

@SKY 1809,
Using home loan to purchase a car?! hMmm..... don't think banks here haf that offering as yet; plus I'm in no rush to buy a new car [I'd like to get one but I just don't wanna spend that kinda $ seeing my car is still road worthy] biggrin.gif

@darkknight81,
AahHhH... Yes that's because housing loans aren't calculated based on a straight line basis; if that's the case we'll all be owing the banks for life generations!
