It was a bit faster booting and shutting on my pc with ssd but slower than previous o/s on another pc without.

Faster than my win8.1 though
But in term of file transferring, I feel it consume too much resource though

Whenever I transfer a lot of files, my PC tends to response slower in other application

Get a faster hdd or bkup n remove junk files n ensure not highly populated

8 gb not enough la.. 5 years my old laptop never said not enough memory.. but now new laptop same software 8gb windows 10...

And also get an SSD.

2gb is enough for laptop..
My 6 years old laptop is smooth with w10 even just 2gb DDR3 RAM

maybe for you 2gb ram is sufficient. these days having a 8gb ram is more practical.

btw wat will happen to my steam game and some program after free upgrade from win 7 ultimate?need to reinstall?

Agreed with u...nowadays is different.,more ram is better...especially for those hardcore user...hihi

No need , all user data and program is still there. However if the software is not supported by windows 10 you need to reinstall.

Well yeah but it's not about hardcore or not hehe first of all new laptops come with 64bit os. Secondly these days apps use ram to improve user experience.

However a better upgrade is to replace hdd with ssd as boot drive. There is a big dfference between the same machine that runs hdd and ssd as os drive.

Here . Pls make sure you have minimum 8GB of pendrive as well and yeah, need to download the .iso from windows.

Yeah..when you run that microsoft media creation tool it'll auto download the iso file direct from microsoft...but it'll take aquite few times to finished...huhu
4gb pendrive is enough...,but rarely found 4gb pendrive lately...huhu

Yeah..my laptop also comes with 64-bit W7 home premium when i bought it in 2010...but i change it to W7 ultimate,better to me & now just got into W10..hehe
But RAM is still not upgraded till now...huhu...

Is laptop with hdd can use ssd as the boot drive..? Does it just plug n play or need some adjustment to change hdd to ssd?
(sorry..,a little noob in this..huhu)

yes, i feel this too.

win10 is much heavier than win8.1.

but still better thab win7/8 in overall.
