What? Why?? Doumbia should be give a chance!  cry.gif
*
yes I agree to that too. He was never really given much support and chance, and was more or less being made a scapegoat for our awful run of form that time.

oh....well. at least he didnt go MIA like certain players  sweat.gif  sweat.gif
2 of your academy promising defenders are gone ie jedvaj + romagnoli.  shocking.gif
what now for AS Roma?

doumbia loan balik.  doh.gif then why buy him at the first place? haish...

guys, time for a new thread now. it's way over 2500 posts alrdy.
*
we still have Florenzi biggrin.gif

anyway Jedvaj is not from our academy, we bought him from Dinamo Zagreb but he never settled in, rumors have it that kid got some attitude issues that did not went too well with the team, some even said that he got a bust-up with DDR shocking.gif

Doumbia was a panic buy... fine player, but it just didn't work out well.

its finally OFFICIAL : Dzeko is our new #9 biggrin.gif

a bit of surprise that the initial deal is a loan, but nonetheless there's an obligatory clause to make it permanent by end of the season. All in all, the reported transfer fee is 15mil euro... wow now thats a good price nod.gif

in another news, Balza announced his retirement and will stay to work under Sabatini (our DoS). Wish him all the best, and his goal and tears against Lazio will never be forgotten. Grazie !

digne. wow.
wonder why psg allowed him to leave.  hmm.gif
but he'll be a good acquisition albeit loan.
*
somehow he was kept away from the starting spot by Maxwell, PSG probably wanna let him out to gain more play time to see whether he will finally make it big or not.

anyway its reported that the deal is done and agreed, but PSG wouldn't let him go yet until they found a replacement doh.gif

That's Antonio Rudiger, 22 years old German centerback from Stuttgart. We probably gonna get him on a 'loan with option / obligation to buy' kind of deal. Can't say I know much about him but he seem to be highly-rated.

however i read that he's currently injured, may need another month or 2 to be back in action sweat.gif

as expected, Rudiger signed and officially a Roma player now.

Primarily a CB, he played RB as well for the German national team, that could be useful for us. Anyway he wouldn't be fit for action for at least another month I believe.

Now I'm waiting for Digne biggrin.gif

well Rudiger's injury probably is healing well, now is more like nursing it back to full fitness.

anyway, we officially got another defender in - Norbert Gyomber, 23-years-old Slovak CB from Catania :

and then there's Emerson Palmieri, 21-years-old Brazilian LB arrived in Rome, waiting to sign :

user posted image

frankly speaking these 2 dudes are just gonna be backups to make up numbers, we probably will never get to see them on the field at all hmm.gif

oh and then Destro is finally gone :

user posted image

its a pity, I had very high hope on him back then, wish him all the best.

there's 1 thing that Roma - as a football team - does it very very good... and that is "disappointed their own fans".

after all those promising signs of attacking talents we got, we still having hard time to break down teams that sit back and defend in numbers. We seriously need some good attacking fullbacks.

anyway Ale's goal is kinda nice, and for all his limitations, you always can count on him to be giving his 100% when he plays.

Florenzi's goal

its just rumors now, nothing is confirmed yet. I do not believe we are giving up on him now, going out on loan to gain steady starts and play times is definitely good for him, since we are kinda stacked in attacking talents.

by the way there's reports that say Digne is *finally* coming later today, they even stated his flight timing... so we'll see about that soon.

Is he good? Heard he is surplus in PSG. So....

still young and talented, and because of his history of worked with Rudi before, I think its worth a shot.

Besides, surely he can't be worse than Cole, or Toro on the left, right ? biggrin.gif

satisfying win... but it was so 'Roma' that we almost let Juve back in late in game, even with a man advantage.

Big moments from Pjanic, Dzeko and of course Szczesny with the fantastic save ! biggrin.gif

its late now, will comment more later on but for now, Grazie Roma ! biggrin.gif

Pjanic's goal

Dzeko's goal

Szczesny's save

would like to point out that Digne was great in the game - a big upgrade from what we had before, and it really made differences. Also Falque played pretty well, for his lack of speed and flashy moves he made it up with some smart and intelligence on and off ball movements. And finally, what a save by Szczesny rclxms.gif

anyway in the end it still just 1 game, hope the boys don't get carry away too much - there are still 36 games to go ! biggrin.gif

btw we just further reinforce our midfield - William Vainqueur, 26-years-old French from Dynamo Moscow.

i know virtually nothing about him... with this signing, my guess is that Strootman is really not gonna make it back anytime soon... sad.gif

sadly, no Bruno Peres (or any RB).

Also WTF why did we send Ljajic to Inter ?! He's 1 of our most competent and talented attacking threat... to think that Gervinho and Ibarbo are kept instead of Adem make me sick doh.gif
