is it the bottle? Do you feed bm with the same bottle? if not maybe the teat of the FM bottle is not suitable causing wind/colic and he gets tummy upset after feeding..maybe la I don't know..did you burp him after feeding?

Maybe after feeding dont put him down straight away, carry him upright or slanted and keep tummy area warm.

Also my grandma used to tell me that kids are more sensitive to supernatural beings, it's the hungry ghost festival now, maybe don't take him out once sun starts to set (grandma said i just follow)

Nomally for wind, i just pat his back until he burp, but sometimes i see he has difficulty burping. Is there any ways that i can do to release the wind in his stomach?

Not pat directly at the back but towards the sides with yourvhands slightly cupped. You can aldo do cycling with his legs. This will make him fart or burp.

Another thing is to massage the body n tummy after bathing

I know the reason why he is so cranky at night, i think i hasn't been swaddling him properly all these while. I saw a video on facebook that they teach how to swaddle the baby. I did the exact same thing, and guess what?? My baby cry lesser now..

I cant seem to find the video, but here is some sort similar:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GVIittLbrB4

For those parents facing the same thing, just try swaddle your baby after doing almost everything like feed, check got poop, put yuyi oil at the stomach, or cupped the wind like @craftsnknots said.

After doing everything, if your baby still cry, just swaddle him.. He might not be comfortable for the first time, but just swaddle and let him cry for few minutes.. He will eventually stopped and sleep through the night.. Feel so happy now my baby cry less already.. rclxm9.gif

Mine is 7 months old, he starts crying during sleep around 3 mths old until now...

Swaddle is only for babies before 3 months i guess... after 4 months they starts to turn... now 360 degree... sweat.gif

Me and my wife hardly slept at the early stage. But now already used to it... and seems to be improving...

Do not feed the baby too often at night, we should train them to stop milking instead.

For my case, my baby sleep around 9-10pm, 1st 2 hours cries more regularly because it's the shallow sleep stage. Try to be at his side and tap him sleep before he cries seriously which might wake him up. Around 1am he will take his midnight milk, after that he will be in deep sleep stage. 3-4am if he cries I will give him some warm water, then around 7am wake up for breakfast automatically.... thumbup.gif If he cries between the routine, I'll give him a pacifier and he will fall back to sleep.

Don't tell me pacifier is bad for babies...... I only know if without the pacifier, it's bad for my life.... doh.gif

My baby now 2months old. We trained him to self sleep. Surprisingly he slept for 6hours yesterday. In between he just wake up for milk, and adter that he just sleep off within few minutes.

1st i make sure he is clean by giving him warm bath before bedtime. After bath him, give him 2oz breastmilk. If formula, than he will last longer (not so fast hungry). Sometimes he cry because tired and want to sleep, but cant sleep. So wrap him up and let him cry. I make sure the surrounding is silence, he will eventually fall asleep after 2-3minutes.

If the baby's stomach is feeling uncomfortable, try to slowly tap to hear whether got wind anot. There's only 3 things babies are crying normally. Hungry, diaper change and stomach uncomfortable.

Just need to understand your baby and try to see his behavior. My wife and i felt so relief after so many trial n error previously.

I let him cry for 5-10minutes. Depends. Sometime he cry awhile then straight fall asleep. Sometimes he cry longer but i make sure swaddle him tightly so he feel secured.

Dont be afraid to let your baby cry. Baby crying is normal and is natural cause that's what they can do for now. I read most foreign families, they put their baby in a different room and leave their baby to self sleep there after feeding and dyper change.
