There is a seller selling things in Mudah (yes, Mudah again) cheapo prices.
Very convincing and I hope other dun fall for this trap too.

I recall seeing similar certificates which nearly scammed by friend for a job overseas

BUT...if you have done the deal, and get legal or whatever action against him. He will likely be giving you a real set BUT with excuse of this and that, so either you part away from you deposit, or he will sell you new stock units with extended warranty etc will will accumulate even more that a real ori distributor set

When will ppl learn not to buy too-good-to-be-true cheap price phone thru online stores like mudah or lelong?

Just go local stores or a trusted online store to buy

I did a few google search about this seller, very hard to trace history before he maybe use different name or phone number.

But one feedback somewhere i read after a conned buyer traced his whereabouts, and much pestering, the scammer did give the set. But scammer very clever, he charged more for it or lose deposit. So end of the day, the set cost more than original distributor.

For lelong it is best to check the merchant's feedback first. There are plenty legitimate retailers and merchants advertising their product there. As for mudah, that place is no hope. Too much too good to be true deal.

Lelong is regulated by the amin. Need ic verification and then register as merchant (with fee)

Last time was much easier to sell at lelong. anyone can become penipuscamer.

The down side about this new rating system is new merchants will find difficult to get customers if they are selling the same thing an existing, more established seller is selling.

Ppl like this also can earn a lot of money scamming ppl...its sicklah

And after reporting, Mudah is not doing anything about it.

Actually, I did some history check of him also, quite difficult to find anything

They are good and have step by step

Now once you bank in the money. that's the end of it. and they will make you wait with a lot of excuses.

Meanwhile, they wait for other suckers to believe his con

Now, after waiting a few days, or they will give you info that the price has changed because the newer stocks have just come in and old ones finish

So it will be a new price, if you want you need to pay more incl extended warranty etc. or, burn your deposit or buy another worthless phone from him.
The new stock phone with new price and 'extended' warranty will cost a lot more. Even more than just buying from the original distributor shop

Its goner be a very very painful experience for those that kena con.

So, no action can be taken against them.

looks like he has a quite a few ads in Mudah
some he says he is in KL, others in Johor
I think he pays for his ads, maybe thats why Mudah not taking any actions
Normally you cant put more than 1 or 2 ads in the same category especially handphones and tablets
I also reported to Mudah, lets see what happens

But even COD also there are many stories that they do see you, sometimes with gangsters (cos they know you bring money) and sometimes they just rushed the situation saying the got another customer, meeting, later you open the box and find out it is faked or battery not original etc
