How to get this?

Totally no use CITI after they revised their CB terms & conditions.

Only use the card for installment plans

And just realised that my card gonna get annual charge soon, any idea how to waive?
Just call CS will do ?
*
citibank dont give annual fee waiver on cash back card, or perhaps, the best given is half of the annual fee waiver.
my father has very bad experience with them on his something mileage card, which charge him for rm600 annual fee. after few rounds with CS on the phone, still not succeeded. Even if cancel, my father still hv to pay the full amount. they did offer to pay half of the annual fee, but being rejected by my father. end up issue solved by walking into the branch, and the officer + another CS from call center help to change to another card and waive the entire fee.

my colleague got half of the annual fee waived only.

citicybersale is over, till 1 july only, i applied my clear card during that period. offer is 3 yrs annual fee waived and rm500 voucher from several merchants, pick 1.

I'm still having 16 months of instalments cry.gif

After that only can consider to cancel this card

Other banks have no issue whenever i called to waive
*
i had stopped using their cards for years, only start again last month mainly because of the RM500 voucher and 3 years offer.
CoffeeBean has a new branch opened at Puchong, so i think at max i will maintain this card for 3 yrs. will cancel after no more waiver.

Same goes to my dad , he has been using platinum card about 10 years (now upgraded to rewards visa) . Last year they refuse to waive AF, best they can give is pay half .
So he went to HQ in jalan ampang for final request , answer is still same . At the end he payoff all outstanding and current , cancel the card on the spot and get cc from pbb  laugh.gif
*
did your dad pay the annual fee charged as well? or exclude the fee? they force my dad to pay the annual fee too even if my dad is to cancel the card.

If ur dad didn’t use the card after the AF charge, he can just cancel the card without paying the AF
*
The problem is, he used, as the first cs told him can waive, no problem. And then he only call again after few weeks when he received the statement charging him finance charges and annual fee. So...

Get the first cs name n report.. then, insist not to pay
*
He never expect such thing would be happen. So didn't record down the first cs name. When I help him to call again, taking the third cs to check recording, the cs said she has no access to call recording and insisted that a note is written in the system "my father agreed to pay". Never even mentioned in the system if it is agreed to pay full amount including the af or excluding. According to my father, first cs calculated, by excluding the af and informed my father the balance of amount to pay. Of course my father agreed la right....

Anyway now issue solved. But I really don't feel easy with citibank cs. Not so easy going like other banks. The third cs repeated the same statement about the note in the system on my further questions about the final amount given to my father. As I know, my father definitely won't calculate that himself. If it is not him, who else then? She behaves like... Don't want to layan us anymore...

Anyone took the RM500 promotion gift from https://www.citibank.com.my/english/promo/c..._sale/index.htm and got it?

Let's say I've pick goods totaling exactly $750. I need to know if I need to spend $750 of my money in total before I can use the $500 acquisition gift voucher OR pick anything totalling $750, apply the $500 voucher (or maybe it's automagically discounted once I enter my Citi card details), and pay the remaining $250.

I've read peri peri chicken's answer that I only need to pay $250 as the $500 voucher can be used instantly. Tried getting a black and white from Citibank but their web server error when I submitted.

And no, I've not been owning a Citibank card since years ago. So I'm a "new" customer.

Thanks
*
Enter the voucher code after you have total of >= 750 in your cart, you wont see the discounted / final amount immediately till you select / enter your citibank card. You should now see the final amount to pay after the deduction of rm500.

Please read the note display below the voucher box after your had entered the voucher code.

No luck for me. I'm holding its Visa PM card. sad.gif

Oops, just saw on the title "MasterCard".
*
I just received the SMS and reading the tnc for second time.
The title mentioned cashbach and rewards point visa, but that statement mentioned "rewards point based only" which confuses me whether can i use cash back card to do the reload or not.

just compare what is the best in terms of total return after forex charges by bank
although BP has the lowest forex rate but if u can pay with amex on weekend with 5% cb on top up 1-3% charges by bank, u still get more discount as compare to using BP

Thank you for sharing your thought! I have been thinking if this is true, but need someone to double confirm.

Have anyone attempted to cancel their Citibank cards recently? Any retention offer from CS?
*
Yes, they just waived the annual fee for my cash back card on my second call to cancel the card. cancellation through first call is not successful due to payment not clear yet.
