On my way Junior Member 594 posts Joined: Oct 2012	Applied for Citi Rewards Visa yesterday and can't wait to know the application status hahaha. Applying the card mainly because of the lounge access.

On my way Junior Member 594 posts Joined: Oct 2012	Normally how long does it take for Citibank to approve a new credit card application? When I checked the status online, it still says "submitted". It's been about 4 days.

CS called me on 16/8 & told me that she is still awaiting reply form the online dept. Today I receive another email sending to company email saying they have accepted my CC application request. I checked online & status remains unchanged. Has your application been approved? I applied on 15 Aug too and I just called the hotline. Apparently they said it wouldn't be so fast and I will need to check again next week.

That’s the reason I received 2nd email. Not sure why they cancel my 1st application. Currently, their system status is “pending”. Hopefully they will get back to us soon.

Its so difficult to track Citi CC application status in Malaysia. IVR is not helping. My guess is, it would take a little more than 2 weeks to get the apporval. Just called the hotline and now they are saying that it may take up to 4 weeks to approve.
