There will be no change to your SMS notifications for transactions that are not made via 3D Secure, and you will continue to receive a single Online Transaction Alert via SMS.  3D Secure is a security protocol used by Banks worldwide to authenticate and enhance the security of online credit card transactions. When you use your card for an online purchase at a 3D Secure merchant’s website, there will be a pop-up box (exemplified below) requiring you to key in a One-Time PIN (OTP) to proceed with the transaction. An SMS with the OTP will be sent to your mobile phone seconds after the pop-up box appears. |
