Is the high credit limit given to a credit card is good?

If u really need to spend so much, then it is good to have high credit limit.

Otherwise, it will have fault case with higher amount if lost th card.
Also, it will reflect in criss and ctos? No sure high credit limit is good to build credit rating?

First time heard that credit rating is up by having high credit limit credit card... hmm... isn't credit rating depends on bank?
*
I'm no expert but I think the logic is this, if you have a high credit limit and you are not utilizing all of it, it shows your discipline as a bank has trusted you with a high credit limit and trust that you will not overuse it and payments are done in a timely manner.

Some people believe that for credit scoring purpose, your spend amount on your card should not exceed 25% of your credit limit in a best case scenario. So if you have RM10000 of credit limit, spend amount should be around RM2500. hmm.gif

I've never held two different cards from the same bank before, it's my first time with Citibank. When making payment, do I have to make Interbank GIRO transfer to two different account numbers or is there another simpler way?

Anyone knows if there is any penalty for full/early settlement of 0% installment (aka Citibank Easy Pay?

I know for the FlexiPayment (where we convert transactions to installment with interest) there will be a penalty but what about those 0% installment directly from merchants?

Anyone knows when Citibank updates payment into our account? Example I did an instant interbank transfer yesterday at 7pm to my Citibank card but it is still not being reflected in my account.

Wondering if you don't decline..

It should be the other way round where customers reply if they would like to take up the offer. People often discard SMS like this and might end up taking it without even knowing.

Can anyone try going to Click for Cash and FlexiPayment at the website or mobile app and see if you have the same error? The error says card is not eligible for it.

Not sure what's the issue, could it be because I'm using a card that is no longer available/offered by them? Never had issues before.

Called CS earlier and was told that once given credit increase, card holder cannot apply for any cash advance or FlexiPayment conversion for 3 months and it is a bank requirement.

I remember the issue happened before my credit limit increase but I'll wait for 3 months and see what happens.

Which Citibank card are you holding?

Did they increase your credit limit as well?

Not sure whether it's from the updated income or just their offer but I did receive an SMS asking me to reply if I accept the credit limit increase.

Just noticed my statement date is different this month. It was always on the 5th but this month it's on the 6th. Anyone's statement was changed without any notice as well?

Citibank is a bit funny in this aspect. Occasionally I will have my statement date 1 day later. I remember those occasions have something to do with public hols in the month either around the statement date or due date.

But it really doesn't affect you much. Even if you have a transaction posted on the 6th, it actually will only reflect on the next statement. There is no downside for you. Your due date will be extended another day, which is 20 days from 6th.

Occasionally, the due date may be more than 20 days after statement date. I have 22 this month, I think.
*
I'll see if it will be back to 5th for my next statement. If it remains 6th permanently, yes I agree it doesn't affect much but customer should always be informed of any changes.

Is there really a need to wait for an officer to call back within a few working days to use reward points to offset annual fee? I find this really inconvenient.

Can someone try check if you get the same error message when going to Quick Cash under Card Services?

I was told by customer service that it will only be activated when there's a promo. hmm.gif

how come citi diam diam change the t&c  rclxms.gif

I don't know if you received any SMS but there was an SMS with #StayHome in it where they mentioned just spend RM800 and get RM80 cashback. The T&C link is the same www.citi.asia/wkend so it's already indicating a change in mechanism.
