So... ya... I was preparing to cancel the card but am keeping it now

This afternoon I tried to make purchase at Lazada Mobile App using Citibank credit card but didn't receive OTP to pay for the purchase. Tried 3 times failed to receive OTP. Then tried to login to Citibank website also failed to receive OTP. Called Citibank CS 3 hours ago and was informed Citibank having problems generating OTP   CS asked me to try again 1 or 2 hours later. So I tried again just now, still didn't receive OTP.

Anyone encountered this today?

May I know what mobile service provider are you using? Maxis, Celcom or Digi? I'll have to give Citibank CS another call.

Actually I also did that on one particular year, the CS told me that they can't wait waive till the annual fee has been charged into the statement.
Seems like a lot of double standards here.

Just recalled I have to check my card's details for the promised RM 50 from Citibank for my PM retention.

True enough I got it on the 6th Sept on the same day I charged RM 1 to my card. It's showing as "Loyalty Cash Back".

I feel that it's a good deal.

I didn't sweet talk, I used live chat. I wanted to cancel both Reward VS and PM card, she tried to retain me with 2 years AF waiver for my Reward VS but will do nothing about SST which will be charged in Oct. Since I'm not using it, might as well cancel it now rather than later. She proceeded but told me for PM card, she cannot cancel right away and need an officer to follow up with me.

2 days later, an officer called to retain me with AF waiver and RM 50 cash back with just one transaction at any amount. Of course I happily accepted. My usage was super low even she knew it.

My Reward VS was already cancelled when I live chatted. The RM 50 is solely for my PM, as in what I wanna do with it will be my problem. Yes, my SST will be charged only in Oct.

Hopefully this year, they will waive my PM AF and I will change the card design, I like the new one. Classic and exclusive.

currently they have promo rm600 guaranteed voucher for standard catered, i just submitted the application

done 2x50 to grabpay, 1x900 to bigpay at 12:03 am

I believe now Citibank will want to retain as much customer as possible b4 they sell off their biz.. so, anyone can ask for waiver..
