Hi,

So I applied for a Citibank credit card around the beginning of March and still haven’t heard back from them.

Applied for the card online in conjunction with their TnG reload voucher promo.

Called up their CS multiple time’s to check on my status and was informed that their sales team arent working at the moment hence I have to wait till the MCO ends which sucks tbh.

Now I have a few question. I am a fresh graduate who just started working around 4 months ago. I do not have any loans or what so ever and this would be the first time that I am applying for a credit card.

What is the chances of me being approved with a card by CitiBank ?

Btw, my annual income would be pretty close to RM60k.

Thanks.

Should be fine as long as you meet the income requirement and provide the supporting docs

Thanks for your reply man.

My main purpose of wanting a card was to fund my daily expenses rather than having to carry around cash.

Gesh, assumed that one could easily get a credit limit of at least 7x or 10x

Citibank has consistently give me the the highest CL among others. You may request to reduce it if necessary.

Thanks for your reply bro. Was curious to know what exactly did they offer you ? 5x your monthly salary ?
Sure would keep you updated. I needed a Cc urgently as I have the cash to buy something but just don’t want to carry a whole load of cash around and rather use a CC due to security reasons.

About 7x

Nice and thanks for the reply. At least I know now as to how much I could ask from them.

You just said you have a clean credit record and now want to ask for a higher CL? 🤔

Called to cancel my PremierMiles since the annual fees are coming up again. 3 years in a row getting annual fee waiver. Over the last 12 months I’ve probably used it twice only. I’m curious what drives them to continue maintaining my card without the annual charge.
*
They know people will terminate the card if the waiver request is not given. The card is not exactly highly sought as opposed to some cards with good benefits where the card holder may be willing to pay for the AF
