also check the cc your apply meet the income requirement or not. banks will have many criteria to consider before honor the credit. For me, they reject me 1st year. After that I also have mbb cc and keep the payment record clean, then they no more reject my cc application so far.

First card is always difficult. Try with the bank that you have a lot saving, best is tgt with the bank your salary is credited monthly consistently.

You credit history is built up when you have loan in any form with other(bank, ptptn) that shows up in CCris. Most bank take PTPTN as a negative reference, because most people with ptptn are students without income, which is why bank will reject you.

You can try HSBC, Public bank, once you get your card, clear your card balance without fail monthly, then your credit score will go up over time. Your score will up when your salary increase as well. Practicing above over 1-2 years, than you can start trying more and more card....I do rejected by citi/mbb/affin and many bank last time when applying...it normal.
