Why don’t you just terminate it?

I just have a look at Citibank points redemption catalogue. They don't have vouchers to redeem?

For Citibank, is it safe to pay on the statement due date itself?

Is the RM25 given to offset SST considered as part of payment for the outstanding balance?

Yes. It is part of the credited amount.

I have some doubts because I received an email from Citibank to inform that my payment to the card is received. This is 2 days after statement due date. And it states remaining outstanding statement balance is RM25. The RM25 offset was already credited weeks ago.

Anyway, to play safe I have transferred another RM25.

Hi guys let say my statement date is on 10th
My statement this month is
1st June - dining rm200
9th June - service tax rm25
Outstanding balance rm225

I don’t use the card anymore after 10th June. if customer refuse to pay rm25 tax, normally just make a payment of rm200 only and call the CS to cancel card right?

I did that and the CS don’t allow me to cancel because there’s still outstanding. I explained the outstanding = service tax which I DO NOT WANT TO PAY. CS seems like don’t understand rclxub.gif

Maybe you can refer to this
QUOTE(clio571 @ Jun 3 2020, 05:23 PM)
For whoever cancel the card on the anniversary date, you are not required to pay the annual fee and GST.

I used to have the AEON credit card but I made cancellation on March this year. This will tell you that you need to pay GST. This will give you a lot reasons. But just tell them to obey to custom guidelines. They will quietly follow it.

Under custom GST guidelines, you are not required to pay if  the card is unused in renewal date.
