Whats bumiputera status for?

None. Unless you are bidding for some government contracts, then you need the major shareholders to be bumi to stand a better chance.

Only listed Co. needs 30% bumi shares when listing or issuance of new shares. After listing or issuance of news shares, bumi shareholdings can drop below 30%.

if u don't require bumi status, then no need loh

sometimes it is a pre-bidding requisite to be bumi before you can even obtain bidding forms

no need bumi share in normal sdn. bhd. la...

it can be 100% foreigner owned if it's an unlisted (not selling shares at bursa etc) company...

You can "rent" company license/name for bidding government contracts.

But bear in mind, the payment is very very slow. But banks loan 100% approval for government contracts. Got pros and cons

Nowadays, to get gomen jobs, you need big big cable and also depend on luck. Many 100% bumi companies also going to holland now; connection not strong enough.

Only low IQ people doesnt know that it is not easy to build contact and network inside gov agency....with all the layers and red tapes.

You pay for their 'information' ...and it is not easy for your partner to get into the networking circle and climb up the gov power brokers family in the first place. For sure he already spend a LOT of money, dignity and face to be there.

This kind of thing is not free to acquired.

I'm serani and I do have asb but just wondering am I considered as bumi or just partial since asb was an exception by agong or some sort that's why the minority race serani can get it.. what sort of benefits we have besides asb?
