I've seen PS3 and 360 first hand in full quality.. But yesterday when I went to Ikano for a walk, saw the gameshop there.. I thought they haven't gotten their PS3 yet.. But the fella was playing on standard TV.. Resistance:FOM looked like a PS2 game. Uber grainy.

My advice: Don't hop on to PS3 if you don't have HDTV.. 360 too.. Cheapest way is to hook up to monitor.. Or just a Wii, no fuss about upgrading TV.

UNPREDICTABLE LAH....IVE MADE A FEW RIGHT AND WRONG DECISIONS BEFORE. FROM THE DAYS OF GAME BOY AND GAME GEAR, I CHOSE GAME BOY AND I WAS RIGHT. GAME GEAR FLOPPED. THEN I CHOSE SEGA MEGADRIVE OVER SUPER NINTENDO. I WAS WRONG. SUPER NINTENDO WERE THE BETTER MACHINE. AFTER THAT I HAVE TO CHOOSE BETWEEN SEGA SATURN AND SONY PLAYSTATION. THANK GOD I BOUGHT THE PLAYSTATION. IT EVEN SURVIVED TILL TODAY...UNLIKE THE SATURN, FLOPPED BIG TIME...HAHA.

I HEARD SOME NEWS THAT PS2 IS GOING TO BE PROBLEMATIC AND DEVELOPERS FIND IT HARD TO MAKE GAMES FOR IT. SO I BOUGHT DREAMCAST AND IM QUITE SATISFIED WITH IT. BUT NOT FOR LONG.....SOMEHOW PS2 MANAGED TO KILL IT. SO I HAD TO BURY IT IN MY STOREROOM AND FORK OUT MORE MONEY TO BUY THE PS2. AND NOW......IT IS HAPPENING AGAIN....THE SAME SITUATION....SAME STORY.....I JUZ HOPE THAT XBOX 360, AND PS3 WILL BOTH SHARE GREAT GAMING EXPERIENCE. AS FOR NINTENDO....THEY SHOULD STOP PRODUCING CONSOLES. WAT HAPPEN TO N64, AND GAMECUBE? Wii WILL SUFFER THE SAME FATE I GUESS.....SEGA LEARNT THEIR LESSON....AND THEY SHOULD TOO.

2. Game Cube was a flop because they had nothing different compared to the raw processing power of both the PS2 and the XBOX. Wii on the other hand is offering a different experience. It is not saying it will produce super good looking games but if you want something different, then Wii is the way to go.

Nintendo has produced a successful console in Super Nintendo, two great portable consoles in the Game Boy and the DS. Sega has flopped in nearly every of their console product. Asking Nintendo to stop producing consoles is like asking Microsoft to stop making Windows.

Let me count the ways the Wii is different considering you rather post here than just do a simple Google search.

1. The concept of Wii itself is different - instead of running along with competing who can generate more pixels, it decides to focus on getting the non-serious gamers interested. It is also the first time a console is targeted to attract non-gaming consumers to pick one up

2. Mock the motion controller but that itself is different. Did they say it was revolutionary? Probably not but it is definitely not available in the current gen

3. The games are casual, simpler and generally just promotes the fun of gaming rather than "OMG I NEED TO GET A HDTV TO GET MY GAMES TO LOOK GOOD" or "OMG 1080i"

You probably consider next gen as how many pixels are there and how fast the processor is and how uber the graphic engine is. For that, you belong in the XBOX or the Sony camp. Whichever tickles your fancy.

You should know that Nintendo is now LEARNING from their success.. and not from their competitors.. The idea of Wii comes from the success(need you see the numbers?) from DS.. Dual-screen and one touch sensitive! Oh-Em-Gee! GIMMICK! .. Nintendo is t3h kidday!

2) The Wii won't appeal to everyone. That's for certain. For those who buy it means that SOME element of the Wii appeals to them. No need to fight over which console is better.

For me, Wii360 is my combo. I like the 360, but will be getting the Wii first.

Depends on what you mean by "fierce competitor" my friend.

If it means that there's a similar demand for the Wii as there is for the PS3, you can pretty much see that that's the case. Even if it is just for now.

Remember, for corporations any competitor who may cut into their profit margin is a "fierce competitor", especially one who is making profit from day one on EVERY console sold.

HOWEVER, if by "fierce competitor" you mean that the Wii isn't as "hardcore" as the PS3/360 then it's not really even an issue. Face it, these consoles are out to make money - not really to take care of us gamers.

So faced with a loss making console vs a profit making one, who is the fiercer one, even if Nintendo ends up selling less Wiis?

ps3 is more cool. people will sure envy u to hav a sony ps3. it oso has blue ray function at reasonable price . support ps3 u will sure proud of it when u buy it . n it oso has plenty of nice n nice graphic game 2 play. F.E.A.R oso will be out at ps3 console . cool rite?

And for the record, why didn't you mention Resistance:FOM? Instead you opted to mention F.E.A.R, which was released for the PC quite some time ago, recently ported to the Xbox 360.. and currently offering FREE multiplayer(without purchasing the game) for the PC.

With games like Gears of Wars setting the bar SO HIGH for graphical and gameplay quality, I don't see how F.E.A.R, or even Resistance can match up to it.

Do some research next-gen buyers, especially those previously owned, and brainwashed PS2 owners. PS3 is just not THAT great.

to be fair, some brainwashed gamers around here (even those who buy it with their hard-earned salary) are brainwashed by the lure of uncle ho's games. in a yr or 2, just check ur local shop and see what games are being sold and u'll know what console to pledge ur allegiance to
