No one can deny that shopping or even window-shopping has always been one of Malaysians’ many favourite activities when they have free time on their hands.

For the year 2015 and the upcoming years to come, there are quite a number of shopping malls in Malaysia that have been slated for construction and some of the malls are set to open their doors within this year!

So, be ready to have your wallets and purses get much, much, lighter, because these are the new shopping malls that will be coming to the Klang Valley this year!

Sunway Putra Mall
user posted image
An existing mall known as ‘Putra Place’ which was bought by Sunway REIT, Sunway Putra Mall will be a lifestyle shopping mall which is a part of an integrated development comprising Sunway Putra Tower (offices), Sunway Putra Hotel and Serviced Apartments. The mall is strategically located in the central business district of Kuala Lumpur that overlooks the international Putra World Trade Centre. Not only that it is a wonderful place for shopaholics to shop, the mall also caters to the surrounding businesses and residents with its 6 levels shopping floors. Sunway Putra Mall is expected to be ready in mid-2015. Just like Sunway Pyramid, look out for a cinema, a karaoke centre and also the popular Asian Avenue stores.

Star Avenue Lifestyle Mall
user posted image
Dubbed as the first happening lifestyle shopping mall and a one-stop shopping, dining and entertainment destination along Jalan Sungai Buloh, Star Avenue is an exciting 4-storey mall that will cater to both the family and youth market. Besides, the mall has a covered boulevard that is convenient for weekend bazaars, festivities and restaurants. With its strategic location, Star Avenue Lifestyle Mall is the first commercial project along Jalan Sungai Buloh that directly faces the new Jalan Sungai Buloh highway to Shah Alam and Kota Damansara. It is expected to open by the third quarter of 2015.

Set to be a potential commercial hub for business and investment, the mall is slated to complete by end-2015 as an opportunity to attract the year-end festive season crowd. Also in the development will be a 2 acre park known simply as V Garden.

Other than the retail mall, BTC also includes Business Suites, Corporate Office Tower as well as an Exhibition and Convention Centre. The development is also expected to be completed by December 2015.

Facepalm..Memangla..dah shopping mall je kau asyik bina...
Bodo. Cuba build a big recreation place where theres tracks, courts, some yolo swag sports stuffs..like roller blade track, skateboard stuffs etc which is up to date..free to public..and also maintain correctly. Build it BIG MASSIVE ONE STOP RECREATION. People can also socialize more and meet many people there.

Ini tak habis habis..mall mall mall...when the youth especially ask each other where to go and what activity to do? Mall. Do what? Movie. Dine like rich people.

Then stupid malaysian ask...why malaysian youth especially with few bucks worth of salary or money..go Starbucks etc? So stupid.

I can answer that...Because you people shove that mentality to them! There is literally nothing to do in Malaysia but malls.

that's why i say commoners will always be commoners.
only successful ppl will see the opportunities in tough time.

The wholesale and retail industry is expected to contribute RM45.2 billion to GNI, and create 226,000 additional jobs by 2020.
The wholesale and retail industry continues to account for a significant share of Malaysia’s economy, contributing 12.7% to the country’s GDP.

As at 2Q 2014, the wholesale and retail industry registered a year-on-year growth of 8.88%. Since the start of the Economic Transformation Programme (ETP), the volume index of wholesale trade has risen from 99.8 points at end-2009 to 132.2 points at end-2013, while retail trade grew from 103.6 points to 132.3 points over the same period. In 2013, the sales value of wholesale and retail rose by 43% to RM13.3 billion from RM9.3 billion in 2009.

that is because they spend beyond their means. credit application is too easy in msia.
as long we can easily get loans, we can always get new loans to cover our debt. it's a vicious cycle but it wont kill u. it just makes your road bumpy only. but life as usual.
RM15 starbucks is nothing to you because u can always get easy-loan rm100 from bank.

I'm an otaku. I don't give a fucuk.

Roppongi area in Japan has never been the draw. Its Akihabara and Harajuku.

They should copy those areas instead.

that is because they spend beyond their means. credit application is too easy in msia.
as long we can easily get loans, we can always get new loans to cover our debt. it's a vicious cycle but it wont kill u. it just makes your road bumpy only. but life as usual.
RM15 starbucks is nothing to you because u can always get easy-loan rm100 from bank.

Weabo is a niche market. Not enough otaku here to support it. Not to mention too currybun. No JAV and even gravure.

that's why i say commoners will always be commoners.
only successful ppl will see the opportunities in tough time.
