The wholesale and retail industry continues to account for a significant share of Malaysia’s economy, contributing 12.7% to the country’s GDP.

As at 2Q 2014, the wholesale and retail industry registered a year-on-year growth of 8.88%. Since the start of the Economic Transformation Programme (ETP), the volume index of wholesale trade has risen from 99.8 points at end-2009 to 132.2 points at end-2013, while retail trade grew from 103.6 points to 132.3 points over the same period. In 2013, the sales value of wholesale and retail rose by 43% to RM13.3 billion from RM9.3 billion in 2009.

of course got factual supporting what i said la. sales is getting better. in fact businesses witness steady growth in their Operating Profits. those in B2C companies will expect huge bonus this year.

aiyo why such vain.. they're able to do well because malaysians can still spend. middle class msian still mampu wan. GST is helping reducing business cost now, in the end u guys will get back the bonus.

that is because they spend beyond their means. credit application is too easy in msia.
as long we can easily get loans, we can always get new loans to cover our debt. it's a vicious cycle but it wont kill u. it just makes your road bumpy only. but life as usual.
RM15 starbucks is nothing to you because u can always get easy-loan rm100 from bank.
