after reading though page 1, lots of my worries are gone...
TBH, should i replace my trouble-free-but-rattling inspira with preve?? AFAIK, the boot are bigger, performance are better... i'm not new to Proton, as i have driven and own lots of proton cars before..
Some people seem to have this issue of cooling. I never held mine at high speed for too long, maximum also 190km/h for 1-2KM stretch, so I never got this overheating. Should you try to ensure that your radiator and transmission cooler are all clean and not blocked by road debris? Lol.
This problem is common among CVT cars, not just Preve, especially if you're using Mitsubishi Lancer. The same goes for Inspira, but Proton has already improved the Inspira's CVT cooling system. Low battery sign could be false positive. Reduced CCA could have raised it more easily but since the battery is new, you should able to use it.
The shop probably won't be able to change for you without charging you.
Could it have been hard to start due to other issue such as dirty throttle body?
inspira no problem...200km/h all the way shah alam-klia...
Hi every1! Im newbie, just got my preve last raya promotion, mine is 1.6 cvt (at) iafm+, but got a prob, why everytime when it run downhill at 40-50kmph, the engine starts to roar? I had to brake until 15-20kmph to make it stop? Is this normal? Did I or the R&D guys at Proton miss something?
the CVT geabox 'downshift' for you... for harder engine braking...
i think its normal... and i think you can floor pedal a bit to cancel it...
