anyone know the cause? today the problem persist even at afternoon when i wan to start the car after makan.. the car start then like rpm drop then mati.. then it automatically try to crank and cannot crank. then i have to start the car again myself then ok already.. anyone know what is the issue?

might be battery.. normally how long can a batt last? i think mine nearly 2 yrs or 1 and half years. wake up check early morning the voltage is 11.9v, maybe already not so good. Now i practice turn off HU whenever off the car.

Would like to check. Has anyone replaced the front brake pads on the Preve Turbo yet ? If yes, what is the mileage of the car when the front brake pads were replaced? My car's mileage is over 80,000 km already and I'm still on the original brake pads. Recently there was an intermittent high pitch squeaking noise when braking at low speed. It doesn't always come up though.

How much does the original brake pads of the Preve Turbo cost in Proton service centre?

Anyone know how to push the piston on rear brake caliper on preve turbo bcause i use brake seperator it didn't work.. anyone help me

car almost 6 years ownership, transmission seems already have symptoms, RPM not stable at low speed and CVT noise increase alot. Proton oh~ Proton~

I feel like wanna go SC to check, but if need replace whole gearbox, might as well change new car. Haha

I just hope it can last few more years~

So my cvt alert appear today, SC told me sensor issue, repair cost for brand new unit is 1k including labour...

Update: so SC found out my CVT oil not enough ( I changed that at workshop outside). End up din change the sensor, just do throttle body cleaning, new CVT oil and engine oil plus a air hose near turbo.

Rpm and throttle response seems better now.
Need to monitor the CVT warning if appear again.

It come and go. I did went to check at SC before CNY. They confirmed is sensor issue and quoted me a price. But they also found out my CVT oil is not enough(i changed 10k km ago at outside workshop) so we were just replace the oil and wipe code and monitor it. Good for about 2 weeks and come back again.

why you still interested even you known mostly?

2nd hand price is cheap. Even if problems arise, it can be fixed with reasonable bill I guess.
Do u mind giving me an idea of those repairs bill would cost?
The only big bill will be the cvt box itself most probably right?

Wonder  what's the fuel consumption like on highway say 100-110kmh. Can achieve 16km/Liter?

Have anyone test drive the Persona VVT?

You must have realize something different from the Preve Turbo right?

Persona VVT:
Example 1: when travelling, the instant pickup is superrrrrbbbb responsive.

Example 2: The pickup from stand till after engaged let the cvt clutch engaged, is not a joke.

Preve Turbo
Example 1: When traveling, the pickup is good but still not feel that it is responsive. like slow by 1 second. Or we call it as Turbo lag?

Example 2: the pickup from standstill after clutch engaged is .. somehow.. like having some small coughing. (Previously worst at slow or stop and go traffic. its getting better after service the Oil Control Valve)
Other than that.. don't know whether its absorber related. when persona passing a very small uneven road, there is no shock can be felt... but my preve can felt the shaking shock (although I dint find any evidence that my absorber is kong - 2nd hand car, so dont know how the new car feel).

Let me know your opinion if you have test drive the persona.

owh. that paddle respond actually involving physical adjustment on the gas pedal? or through software only?, and does sc such as COSE provide this service?

wow.. if physical adjustment.. means like it shorten the distant for the pedal?.. so that it can hit > certain degree on short pedal depress and able to give better respond with higher fuel consumption?

Recently i did a simple soundproofing solution at firewall. I can feel around 30% quiter engine, but sadly cvt whine is still cannot reduce, or maybe a little bit only.

Donno where exactly the sound mostly came from. Looks like not the firewall. I read 2012 post, cvt noise actually can be solved by soundproofing the front hood. Now i dont  really believe hood soundproofing can do anything to reduce any noises from entering the cabin. You guys personally have good experience?

Ps: now the engine sound is quieter, the noise my steering wheel makes when steer to right became more obvious. :/
