Today I go to proton sc to get my preve ecu upgraded. To replace the reverse sensor and to find out that smell when i accelerate.

After ecu upgrade, car feel so much smoother and powerful. The reverse sensor have no stock. And they found out my exhaust system bocor, that's what cause the smell (maybe).

So if i want to change the exhaust and the sensor,  they'll charge me..
Exhaust RM 611.xx
Sensor RM 92 .xxeach.
Total 804.

Is that price okay?

is your car is still under warranty ? if yes request nicely for FOC replacement, it is not your fault this sort of stuff happens.

to date i have never paid a sen on all parts of my car except for break pad, headlamp, ambi pur, and the service cost.

( 3 set engine mounting (average 1 set per year), one set rear seat, one pair front seat, cable harness together wit new fan, 1 set reverse sensor, 1 set complete new gearbox, gear knob and handbrake assembly)

next to come is the oil hose thing that is a big problem to all CFE owner which will be free.

And the rear right suspension which had seems like leaking oil that wont be free if my car is out of warranty.

cant remember how much year is my warranty left but i would love a new steering wheel (the buttons is not working properly once in a while, volume down button will register as previous button, mute button that double click when i only press once which means i didnt mute my music at all).

The hose in your picture is air intake hose to the turbo.

As per the previous guy which had pointed out, it is underneath the car.

once burst all your engine oil will leak. you will not be able to drive your car, need tow to your preferred SC. there are a few owners who have their hose burst on them again after replacement, as Drex had pointed out if i remembered correctly, incorrect use of torque when tightening the damn thing on a torque wrench or smtg.

i am going to 110000++ KM on my odometer and will have the SC check em out on my next service.

this is my last Proton ever.

does HID plug n play suitable for preve projector headlamps?
is it gonna give a burn mark on the plastic cover?

i change twice my right headlamps with phillips H7

is there any recommendation for HID? brand? model? location (KL/Nilai)? and feedback..

bought my car in 2012 Sept, immediately install HID the week after i get my car.

never had a blown bulb. just replaced a new set 2 months ago after so many years as the bulb died on me.

no particular brand to choose from, i will suggest u buy from taobao. Buy those in the range of 200 RMB and above. Cheaper HID = low quality bulb and incorrect light temperature. Cheap bulb will appear greenish on 4300 K, and not bright.

Yes halogen projector is not suppose to install HID, as the beam cutoff line is slightly different from a truth xenon projector. But at least it is miles better then the guys who install them on a reflector headlamp.

if u got yourself a good set, they are bright as fucuk, and since it is a projector headlamp, they wont blind drivers in the opposite direction. They are extremely easy to install, hardest part being installing the bulb into the headlamp, as there are wire on the bulb, u need to unlock the bulb clamp to allow the wire to cross over before locking the clamp again.

No need to cut any wire on your car just plug and play everything.
