You mean the lag between throttle to engine response or the turbo lag or both?

Turbo kick in at 2k rpm if not mistaken.

Throttle response lag happens in all proton car due to fly by wire throttle. Not the mechanical ones. So takes 0.5-1 sec to feel the car go after u step on the pedal.

Turbo usually u accelerate abt 2k o 2.5k u can hear the turbo spinning

Proton CFE Turbo care
- change oil feed pipe turbo. OEM using pipe, when engine shut down, oil inside pipe hold, high temp engine environment cook that engine oil inside oil feed pipe, then blocked. Engine oil supply to turbo as a lubricant for turbin shaft. No lubricant, create heat, then breaking the shaft. Solution, change to oil feed braided hose.

Pedal Response (Drive by wire)
- can be adjust / tune as it electronic equipment. Default proton settings too delay to protect CVT lifetime.. not make driver feel like fast & furious. Can be test when idling, then you no how much the delay.

Turbo kick in
- really want to know "melekat kat seat, beb..!! waa cakap luu". DO NOT TRY AT HIGH TRAFFIC.. Use your Auto Cruise, drive 90km/h, set auto cruise, then cancel it ( not to switch OFF AUTO CRUISE ). Drive lower than 90km/h (example 50km/h) then, recall back previous speed. NOW YOU KNEW "MELEKAT"..

Oil feed pipe change to oil feed braided hose is not R&D proton. It's our local person initiative. The pipe blocked if not change Engine Oil within interval schedule maintenance. So, i change 1st even still follow schedule maintenance. Better prevent than repair.. Void warranty & proton SC dont have braided hose.

140 to 160 km/h(max) is a good optimal speed for the Preve Turbo on the highways as the engine is not overly stressed. If 160 km/h and above then the engine is stressed with compromised acceleration as it takes some effort from the car to gain speed from 160 km/h onwards, hence the struggling of the engine to reach higher speed. Personally I would not drive above 160 km/h even though the car is able to go beyond that speed.

Though the highways especially the North-South highway now is full of cars these days even on the right lane so can't really speed to much. Surprisingly the police also joined in the race and drove above the speed limit.

Not sure if physically possible without the car engine catching fire in Rawang    540km  :confused:

Assuming little traffic, 3hrs JB-Ipoh is possible.
