I owned the facelift version (turbo) for 3 years now (40K mileage). Just to share some things;
1-Both my rear original tyres had uneven inner thread wear. I checked with the alignment shop and they said its the rear arm problem which is a common problem for preve. They offered to fix it (mod) at RM300. I refused to fix it instead and checked with SC. Went to SC and they said that the arms are okay and its just the normal alignment problem. Ordered a pair of new CC6 at RM318.00 at the tyre shop.
2-Dirty air filter and according to SC, they only change it at 50K service.
3-Traces of oil in the Turbo unit. I had to regularly clean it.
4-No power window switch light for front and rear passengers. I noticed the CFE and Exec version do have it.
5-Aircond blower airflow getting weaker although I do clean the filter regularly
Well, I just serviced my car yesterday - The SC recommended the new Syntium 3000 SE 5W30 RM180.00 (Discount for Proton users) (Previous service was Syntium 3000 5W40 at RM225)
Engine felt lighter than before but not sure about the fuel consumption though.

The oil leak is due to O ring at the spindle getting brittle. This happens due to our weather conditions. When O rings loose their elasticity they are unable to seal and hold back the oil. Due to high velocity of spindle the leaked oil tends to carbonise. These carbon deposits can cause serious damage to turbo impellers. Once impellers are damaged, the whole turbo unite is a write off, can't be repaired.
I'm not sure of cost Preve turbo units, but I know they are expensive. You need to get turbo unite inspected and change O ring which will not cost much.
