QUOTE(ChokenBako @ Nov 27 2015, 02:22 PM) Question: No, mine would alert for any door, including bonnet and hood.Under normal circumstances, when we arm/lock any car while any door is ajar, there would be a reminder like the horn blaring to bring our attention to the said matter. The same applies to Preve EXCEPT if the ajar door happens to be any of the 2 front ones. The SC said that's the way it is for Preve. Is that true? Other Preve owners' feedback is very much appreciated. Its failure to send out such reminder is not that helpful as sometimes, we may be at quite a distance from our car when we want to be sure that we've locked it. |

QUOTE(ChokenBako @ Nov 27 2015, 03:07 PM) No. No change in setting has been made, ie all doors are to open or lock at the same time. It's just that when any of the 2 front doors is ajar, the car would not lock/arm and would not give out any alert on the matter either. Then try other SC center.Guys, would the silicone cover for they key fob interfere with the insertion (and out) to start the engine? This post has been edited by :3mushy:3: Nov 27 2015, 06:11 PM |

QUOTE(YouDontKnowMyName @ Dec 3 2015, 02:21 PM) Hi guys, the Preve stock tyres are GT Radial Champiro BAX2 205/55/16 tyres right? The stock tyres are good, hard compound so it can really register crazy mileage and still be OK, at the cost of noise. But there are better tyres than this for the same cost, have you considered it?I'm hoping to find out if any of you know where I can get a good price for the tyres around PJ/Selangor area. I'm looking to replace the worn out front tyres on my Exora. Called up a few tyre dealers earlier today, but to no avail. Hope you guys can help me out Answer to your question, no, I don't know which shop that sells them. QUOTE(ZooK @ Dec 3 2015, 06:44 PM) What are you talking about? Seems normal to me. |

Cos i usually service my car weeks later than the assigned date as im using fully syn but the mileage is always over 5k abit only. QUOTE(SportyHandling @ Dec 4 2015, 07:52 AM) Are you saying that if your scheduled service is at 10,000 km, you have brought in your car with the mileage at 15,000 + km? If that is the case, doesn't sound like "a bit" to me. I think he meant he clocked his mileage just a little bit over the 5k recommended mileage. |

QUOTE(Higuain @ Dec 4 2015, 05:10 PM) for example. scheduled service is 6 months later or 10k km later. previously serviced on 23 august 2014 with odometer clocked at 5000km (written by them). then i did my next service on 30 march 2015 with meter clocked at 10885km. although late by weeks but bear in mind im using full syn, synthium 3000. latest service date was 17th october 2015 clocked at 15612km. Like I said, certain service centers really play by the book. Please try other service centers, sometimes the smaller ones are more helpful and understanding.just want to know is there any possibility that the mechanics there exchange the exhaust pipe secretly? cos i have sent my car for bumper replacement and kept at the repair centre for 3 weeks. The repair centre is at bintawa, ptoton iteslf. bcos before i send in for bumper replacement my car didnt produce such kind of noise Or if they have different policy for east Malaysia, then I wouldn't know. Any malpractice is always possible, either intentionally or unintentionally. |

QUOTE(Higuain @ Dec 4 2015, 06:29 PM) bcos they said 10k km or 6 moths whichever comes earlier. regarding the 1 year warranty, the booklet got stated there clearly. but it's crazy that my exhaust can get a big hole just by 2 years. my dad's 20 yr old van's exhaust still ok. Well, I can tell you that exhaust issue is not a common problem among Preve, yours is the first one I've heard.all these while my car was serviced at their biggest service center in KCH. but still.. shitty service. all ican tell is that the 2 service centres now are pushing blame to each other |

QUOTE(mengsuan @ Dec 5 2015, 07:18 PM) I had once thought of macam-macam LED or HID. Real practical reasons, good illumination and economy, stick with standard bulbs. RM20 per piece from Proton, I wouldn't care if it burns every year. Yeah, after testing many bulbs (and my friend for testing the HID), I found out that normal bulb is more than enough. |

QUOTE(Blackscreamerz @ Dec 10 2015, 05:43 PM) Sound of air leak is common issue. But i remember i read it somewhere in forum somebody said can be settled by your ownself. Yes, add extra layer of weather/rubber strip (I suggest change), that should reduce the noise.Mushy, ada recommendation? Cause mine also like that. 100km/h then can hear the sound already. QUOTE(ZooK @ Dec 10 2015, 07:33 PM) Just got quoted price from Proton. Preve front windscreen (PW930754) is RM 521.78 (incl GST). I'm not sure which electronic sensor they quoted, but perhaps it is the rain sensor (300+), and also there's mounting and bonding part. RM1,500 for the windscreen and the electronic sensor. Not sure if including labour. I think it is. Also, fixed the video. You should get a detailed quote to know which parts need to be replaced. |

Oil cooler recall has been since early this year, at least that's what my regular SC told me. I too didn't know about it, the SC just changed and told me about it when I sent my car for service.
