QUOTE(Yoooo @ May 11 2017, 07:20 PM) your previous stock H7 also having the same problem previously? You fix your HID into the original headlight? How much you did it? Thanks... Not just me, I believe it's a coherent problem across all produced models. Cheap and branded bulbs alike, I've used them all and still the burnt out problem occurred. I did the retrofit for 1.2-1.3k or so, can't remember exact figure, inclusive HID kit, projectors and retrofitting service.

QUOTE(oto1202 @ May 12 2017, 08:48 AM) something like harness problem.. other said add relay for more brightness. also grounding cable.. My solution, change to LED headlamp. but no solution for other light bulb.. something like surge current or unstable current flactuated. 1. try voltage stabilizer 2. try grounding cable 3. replace to LED lamp 1. Doesn't work, I used two different VS,still the bulbs burnt out. 2. Same like #1, in fact this was the most suspected reason. 3. I wanted to change to LED, but ultimately chose HID retrofit. I figured that with the cramped space, it is almost impossible to install LED bulbs, no?

QUOTE(Yoooo @ May 17 2017, 10:52 PM) I just installed the H7 Osram Night breaker unlimited by own self. It looks brighter but don't know whether can last longer than the standard Osram H7 or not. worried with the same reason with for HID and LED that is why I stay back using halogen bulb. I also noticed the bulb installation position will cause the output light uneven of focus. [attachmentid=8823813] Photo 1. [attachmentid=8823817] Photo 2. Photo 1 is previous installed by the SC. after installed I felt the light focusing is not same as the previous. Photo 2 is installed by my own self. The output of light will be even and focus like the original when you received your car at day 1. if you also got the same felling as me, you may the installation as above. Is that even possible? I thought the bulb housing can be fitted one way only.

QUOTE(Ansonlow @ May 19 2017, 08:11 PM) Anyone facing wet carpet for all the driver & passengers seat in Preve ? Sent to SC in serdang last week: they restick the black glue to re seal the plastic seal ( inside the door ) with labour charge of RM 70 & gone to car wash to vacuum the wet area. But today I realised the carpet still very wet, just pressing the finger on the floor/carpet, can see the water flooded inside. It's very common to Persona but for Preve, couldn't find any similar case. My preve is still under warranty. Any idea or suggestion on this? Regretted buying Proton, Perodua much more better! Definitely not a common issue, this is the first time I've heard water problem. And why were you charged with the labor charge if you could prove there was a water intrusion issue?

QUOTE(abangbikerz @ Jun 24 2017, 12:00 AM) Anyone try changing their cfe rim from 16 inch to 15 inch. To save fuel and make it lighter? Changing to 17 doesn't worsen FC, I doubt changing to 15 would improve FC.

QUOTE(HXZ @ Jul 7 2017, 11:21 AM) Hi, anyone can recommend a shop in KL/melaka to fix this. How much this usually cost? Require only touch-up painting? Try polishing first. Otherwise, standard price for repainting one panel is around RM 250.

QUOTE(TitaniumZ @ Jul 17 2017, 11:34 AM) Quote from previous thread: » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « In Preve we have P, R, N, D, +/-, S and Paddle Shifter. D : we tuned shift pattern D ni for comfort and fuel consumption. base shift pattern is Exora Bold CFE, tp untuk sedan yang lebih ringan dari Exora, we had been requested to aim for lower FC compared to Exora Bold.
+/- : to allow driver to drive the automatic car as a manual car, we introduced +/- mode (same as Inspira) but with 7 spread gear ratio (Inspira ada 6 shj). driver have to push the lever aside and shift up or down by gear knob or paddle shifter on steering.
S : we tuned shift pattern in S for sportier and aggressive driving (overtaking, hill climbing). basic shift pattern is L gear in Exora Bold CFE, but L gear in Exora Bold will rev up the engine about 5000 rpm to bring the engine to higher torque region. for S gear in preve, we tuned up the revolution from 5000 to 8000 rpm, so there will be more engine torque and power to be delivered to tires for overtake and hill climbing. you may drive the car from static to higher speed in S let say from KL to JB all the way, but you will burn more fuel. so the optimized way to use S during overtaking, just pull the lever from D to S when you demand for torque and power.
Paddle Shifter : Paddle Shifter can be operated in +/- (pushing lever aside in +/- Tip Mode). but as one of new invention from RnD Proton, we make a software that allow driver to shift down/up the gear in D and S. This function called Quick Tip Mode, internally at RnD. we may drive in D (comfort & best FC) or S (aggressive & sporty) then tip down the gear for overtaking. within 10 seconds after first paddle shift down/up, you are allowed to change the gears, after 10 secs the software will revert back to D or S. for a safety and diagnostic function, if you pulled the paddle shifter down/up continuously, the software will diagnose the paddle shifter has a short circuit or abused by driver then disable this Quick Tip Mode until you stop the car and restart the engine.
In D mode, if the road condition and your balls allowed you should eventually reach the top speed... Which could take some times, tried at MEX at night when returning from KLIA, getting to 170 was easy in D, but above that might need the extra push of S

QUOTE(TitaniumZ @ Jul 17 2017, 01:03 PM) The highest I've ever achieved in D mode was 170 km/h on PLUS, a slightly downhill straight section. I was cruising at 120 km/h, suddenly a Harrier coming from behind and flashing high beam from far away. Since it was not safe to give way (left lane got vehicles) so I just floor the pedal. I thought that Harrier is gonna tailgate me but funny part was that Harrier can barely keep up when I moved into 140 km/h, struggle to remain in my rear view mirror when I got into 150 km/h, and finally disappeared in my rear view mirror when I passed 160 km/h mark. I clocked at 170 km/h before I reduced the speed. That bugger Harrier, why even flashing high beam from far away if you can't even outrun me 130 km/h??? Though, I never push the speed limit in S mode as the engine/CVT roaring sound really scary like gonna explode... Even in D it is already scary With that said, 99% of the time there's no real need to push the car above 120. QUOTE(fireballs @ Jul 17 2017, 01:05 PM) or the harrier know there got speed trap » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Had sent to own mechanic workshop, he had checked all basic couldnt find any fault.. What is that warning asterisk symbol on the speedeter dashboard indicating? some car fius module burnout? Dead battery will effect gearbox tuning. No workshop other than Proton service center can fix it. It takes less than 5 minutes.

QUOTE(aureliux @ Aug 1 2017, 11:54 AM) Hi Bros, Getting my car (Preve Premium) today. Just wanna ask a silly question. What petrol should i use? 95 or 97? Thank you in advance. 95, no point using 97. Only cars with very high compression benefit from higher octane. And those cars usually worth more than 500k. This post has been edited by :3mushy:3: Aug 1 2017, 12:05 PM

QUOTE(Pain4UrsinZ @ Aug 1 2017, 11:16 PM) hi all, today proton workshop people tell me that i shouldn't do alignment in other workshop, only proton people know what is the best setting of alignment and steering for proton car. is that true ? something to do with lotus handling ? Alignment is not something complex, as long as the wheels are correctly angled to each other and the ground, it should be no issue at all.

QUOTE(delsoo @ Aug 8 2017, 02:19 PM) i dont think so . I can feel that my old car is more powerful when i am using 97 . I can push the pedal ligher to move the car. Yeah that's it, placebo effect. This myth as been debunked over and over again all over the world including by manufacturers themselves.

QUOTE(Pain4UrsinZ @ Aug 8 2017, 06:28 PM) do we really need to service air cond ? PROTON COSE got aircond service ? Every part needs to be serviced sooner or later. General practice is to service it 4-5 years once or whenever something isn't right, such as less cold, weird smell or noise.

QUOTE(ChuanHong @ Aug 14 2017, 09:00 AM) not really recommend LED based bulb (cheap one).. unless you go for real expensive one.. Philips do deliver H7 LED conversion kit recently.. price is 1k+ with 3 years warranty... i'm aiming this as well.. other unbrand LED based will spoil quite easily due to heat & the light do not have cut off, cant focus well.. Cheaper option is go for HID.. best output by the way.. 3 years service = 60k?! if yes then really above 1k lo.. spark plug, gear oil, gear oil filter all those very expensive stuff.. I haven't changed my spark plugs yet (4 years) and I still have no power problem. Going for 80k service next month.

QUOTE(alexander3133 @ Aug 14 2017, 12:15 PM) Yours is turbo version? Turbo version stock spark plug I believed is iridium one, which has lifespan capable of that long. Yeah, by the time it needs changing according to the booklet, I think it will surpass the 5 years warranty already. Changing the iridium spark plugs at Proton SC can give you minor heart attack, it's like 200% more expensive than regular service centers. Can even get cheaper if buy online

QUOTE(Kendall @ Aug 18 2017, 08:01 AM) It's just the DRL light. My main concern is that once the LEDs burnt, I have to change the whole headlight. Yes you have to. I don't have problem with mine, but I spotted one or two Preve with flickering DRL and burnt out DRL on one side. You have to change the entire headlight, officially. The cost of dismantling and fixing the DRL at third party is not worth it.
