I think size difference is one thing, but you have to balance with the comfort and fuel consumption increase too.

215/40/18, great for butt and back massage.

Wheel arch is still relatively small compared to the body. They should have learned this from the new Persona.

Ask them lah, his car was only Myvi, around 600 for all upholstery (excluding roof) IIANM. Preve will surely cost more.

Nappa leather 5 seat and door middle trim for RM3,500. normal price? sweat.gif

Yeah, genuine leather are very expensive. Actually synthetic leather is also durable already, unless your car worths hundreds of thousands, don't bother install very expensive parts.

they got something like,

genuine leather - their inhouse brand approx. RM2,800
nappa brand - RM3,500

synthetic is PU? but i look some thread mention will crack under hot sun sweat.gif
*
Actually Napa is not a brand, and it is overly abused term (like Satay Kajang, they are everywhere).

Yes PU is synthetic/faux/composite leather.

They are both susceptible under the sun, but genuine is more durable. If your car got good tint and reflector, and windows rolled down a bit when parked under scorching heat, I think shouldn't be much of a problem.

ohhh. understand. so what is the difference between genuine leather and nappa leather?

*noted that nappa is not a brand sweat.gif
*
Napa is a 'type' of genuine leather (provided that it is not fake). Given that, it is the most famous type of leather in automotive.

And if you go for genuine leather (including napa), it is quite costly to maintain them, although not that often. Whereas PU is much easier, almost any aftermarket detailing products (even those being sold at Mr.DIY) can do the cleaning and restoration well.

by the way, stock suprima s using nappa leather right? that stock leather is which brand?
*
Not napa, napa leather has this grainy yet smooth texture. Those real smooth textures are synthetic, as there's no animal hide that is truly smooth, so SS one is likely to be one.

That was too low, the buyer was lowballing you definitely.

Seeing the current market price for 2012 Preve is around or lower than 35k. I think is just about right. The resale value for this car is not good to begin with.
*
For lower end marque, even 5k is considered a lot laugh.gif

About the engine playing hard, you can tr a few things. What I usually do was take out the key and lock the car. Unlock and then try again, it usually works every time so far.

Mind to share where you bought it from? I messed up my highbeam adjuster, now I can't adjust it back, figure out buying a new set would be more convenient.

I was pretty happy that I managed to restart my 2 yrs old Preve after a week out of town holiday.

But a week later, thing started to go wrong. Could not start the car yesterday. Called Wecare and was advised to remove the black cable from the battery, wait for 20 mins and reconnect the black cable. Did that, no success.

Wecare's local agent does not have 55D23L type battery (for Preve).

Being Sunday, difficult to do things. Waited till this morning. Called a shop and they have 55D23L battery (Aisha). Bought one with home delivery! Ha.

Started the car but could not change the gear.

Called Wecare and they advised to let the car run for 20 mins to fully charge the battery and then try to change the gear. Did that and no success.

Noted the shift lock at the top of the gear setup. Read the manual and tried it. The manual should be clearer stating to remove the top cover! I tried with a screw driver through the small hole! Later removed the cover, pressed on the switch and tried to change the gear. BOLEH!

Learning here is to reset the gear lock once the battery is flat. How come Wecare did not tell me to do that? Their standard reply is do this and that for 20 mins!

From now on, I will disconnect the black cable even if I am away from home for a week.

If you have never changed your battery, then this bounds to happen.

Usually no, but you'll appreciate it when the time comes.

Like going up Genting, usually D is more than enough, but it's nice to be naughty once in a while when you overtake 'common cars' that are struggling uphill.

Anyone know whether 4.3k/5k/6k hid matches the position/drl lamp? and so far is there any issues installing hid kit?
*
My advice, don't bother, unless you are going to retrofit HID projector as well. HID + halogen projector is a bad idea, you would get more illumination from the halogen bulb.
