On 2nd year got this headlamp bulb kaput problem. Everytime change, then the other one kaput. Finally sc offer change the whole headlamp. Only right side. Then the problem gone till now.

hi all, just gotten my preve its a used car that i bought.
Was trying to find the user manual or handbook to lear what to be done and what can be done.
but got no finding on any of the web.
just some tips and normal trouble shot in this LYN.
Anyone has a softcopy that can be loaded here?

Err, should I go to SC and ask them to change CVT fluid?

Planning to do my oil hose replacement (the one announced some months ago by Proton).

Like to know from those who have done it, do they drain the oil, replace the hose and then top up with new oil?

If that is the case, then I will postpone it till my next car service.

Went to a SC to service my car for 80k. Was recommended by the SA to change timing belt, plus several other things, as he said 80k is a major service. I just pay over rm1k for major service at 60k, now I have to pay another rm1k+ just after 20k?

I changed my mind and leave the SC. Upon further checking in the periodical service schedule book, timing belt changing only at 120k. Lucky i didnt go ahead and service my car as per recommended.

anyone knows what does it mean by black tape repair and sundries sealant sand paper?

All these displays are there because it has become "measurable" with the introduction of fuel injection and ECU implementation.  Mainly also since the other manufacturers have them, so every maker will also try to include it into their higher end models where possible to give the "atas" look/feel.

I remember when it was the carburetor generation, there was also a vacuum tube connecting to an analogue (needle) indicator on the meter panel to "inform" the driver whether he was driving at "economy" mode or "power" mode.

I already hit 81,000 km kena tukar brake pads belakang. how about you all guys ? can you strecth it further to say 100k km?

my car also about 3 or 4 years.. headlamps keep burning out.
so just switch to HID now lol

proton preve cvt. i just switched out the bulbs with HID, no other modifications.
ask the accessory shop adjust the beam to aim more towards the road, instead of pointing straight up so not blinding.

hi all, i'm new to Preve Exec..
just a silly question, can Preve Exec change/convert to Preve Premium's CFE Engine?
CVT engine sound is getting noisier at high rpm... or worst come to worst, any proofing parts can be installed to minimize the sound from "penetrating" into car cabin?

How often mounting needs to be changed? How much per piece?  Cos my warranty ending soon, not sure should I claim one new pair mounting... Car no vibration now

how much is the windshield cost guys ?, buying used unit, but dealer don't want to replace the windshield even after i tell them, it got small crack on it.

CFE/Turbo will have additional cost, which is the rain sensor. It gets done in about RM800. However you will lose the original tinting. Again, only applies for CFE/Turbo.

Guys, where to change the engine mounting and how much ?

My Preve (3 years 3 months) air-con just died. SC said the junction box is faulty, unable to send current to the compressor. Cost RM 700+ for the junction box and it is a part that is rarely spoil, so need to wait few days to weeks for the parts.

Anyone had this problem? Junction box is not covered under 5 years warranty?

Any possible write in to COSE to claim the parts?

Im driving a preve yr2104 .was a 2nd hand buy a month ago.
Was on the way outstation doing 110-120kmh(first oustation drive)
Suddenly cvt warning light came on and loss of drive.pedal the throttle but no response.
Stop road side and off engine then after a half a minute start back and warning is off.continue drive then after a few minutes happened again.u turn back to kl.within road to uturn and back to kl happen a few more time.
Send to sc when arrive at kl.they plug in say its cvt oil temp. But say to do a cvt oil chg at next service.
But car is only 15k milage. Been using the car daily to work with 1hr plus jam and there is no issue before this.
Anyone have this happen before?
Usually what is the cause for the overheating of the oil?
Or could it be a sensor issue?
