guys, got my first service it was supposed to be rm147 but i was charged 198 due to additional X1R oil.
The guy said for non turbo cars need to fill in that oil
DO WE REALLY NEED TO HAVE THAT OIL?

the SC told me that CFE version must use Syntium 3000....because the turbo system in the car needs Syntium 3000....and he said cannot use other than Syn 3000.....

i think he is lying...am i right...?...

My SC told me if use mineral oil, service interval is 5k km or 3 months, whichever is earlier.  If use Syntium 3000 or higher (synthetic oil), service interval is 10k km or 6 months.  So, in the end I use Syntium 3000.

Mach 5 also can. I'm serious.

I've tried Syntium 1000, Shell Helix Ultra, Syntium 3000 then now Syntium 800. I would say the 3000 and 800 (even though semi synthetic) feels smooth by the feeling.

I am newbie here. I want to ask for opinion.

I am thinking to buy Preve. Using Viva makes me kinda skeptical about proton cars especially  preve because my viva is so nice to me. But i need a pace of change and thinking that preve might the suitable choice when come to budget and probably maintenance.

So, I got offer to take 2014 Preve with 8k discount. Is it ok buy a car which not able to be sold for almost 2 years?

What about the components inside considering this car might be idle and the engine not started for almost 2 years?

Do you guys have trouble with 2014 preve?

Does it come with 6 airbags?

will they charge?

Hi, is Preve a big shark for fuel consumption?
Iif yes, what make it use so much of fuel?

Does your power window switch panel bulge up too when the window is fully up? Again, I was told by SC that that's the way it is for Preve and Suprima.

It's really a minor problem that I can live with it if it's an inherent design fault. Otherwise, must have it replaced while still under warranty.

just nak tanya why this temperature display going high?

1. tank cooler full + spare tank also full
2. time drive on aircond no problem temperature still ok
3. but when stop around 20min sambil on aircond temperature display akan naik

my question is its becoz of the panel board cotrol low and high speed fan problem or got something else? coz as i know this preve only got 1 fan and got low and high speed function for the fan

I am newbie here. My friend's Exora Bold oil cooler hose burst last week. The car had to be towed to SC in Puchong. My Preve CFE already 70,000km, 3 years 4 months but SC never mentioned this issue every time I go for servicing. Why is SC quiet about this?

215/45/17 will make things worse, because overall diameter is a tad bit smaller.

Unless you do 225/45/17, which is just a tad bid bigger than your stock tyres.

You need to slow down. If you change to coilover adjustables, the comfort will be gone, but can reduce chances of scraping.

My car has to slow down to 0 when I go through ramps, because will surely get into contact.

A lot of SC don't know how to install properly. I end up coming home and reinstalling it.

Hi guys,

My fiancee just picked up her Preve Exec CVT last week. But after I took it for a drive I noticed the following:

1. Alignment lari a bit - Easy solve if it's a simple issue
2. When braking, there's a sound coming from the front wheel (left one to be precise). It sounds like helicopter blades spinning
3. Engine noise quite loud wor..

Other than the above, no issues. Alignment can be done anywhere, but any advise on item 2 and 3? Wanna bring back to Proton SC since got warranty, I was told by the SA that item 2 is perhaps bad installation of brake pad. As for item 3, any advise on where and how much additional bonnet insulation would cost?

Our Preve Exec CVT got the same issue Seager.
1 weeks old and got these problems:

1. Alignment
2. Braking sound & shaking a little bit.

Can we go to the SC and ask them to change(claim warranty) the brake parts before the 1st 1000km service?

Also, I noticed that the petrol gauge/bar makes me confuse. It only left 2 bars, but the display also tells that it still can go 200+ km? Can I trust that smart display?

so true, the proper way should be dismantle the headlight first , maybe ?

somehow and somewhere, upgrade for free

change over to GPS on tablet
