Don't laugh when I say I'm using Surface 3 for my daily programming work, emails, note-taking & home consumption.

As my previous SP1 was broken beyond repair, I bought Surface 3 (S3) with heavy discount (using Harvey Norman's extended warranty). In fact I spent < 1.5K for S3, Type Cover 2, Surface Pen & new extended warranty. Great deal.

Didn't want to go all out for SP4 (or even SP3) as I'm getting a new laptop (from my company).

This S3 will be my secondary device once my company bought me a new laptop. In the meantime, it works very well.

Go for SP4 if u can afford it but if u can't, S3 is also good enough.

can u like suggest me either surface 3 or 4 ? need it for multitask&Some movies,

Depends on your budget & usage. What kind of multi-tasking do you plan to do?

Yes, Surface 3 charging is slow (5+ hours) due to Micro-USB charging limit. You can charge much faster using the dock but I don't think it's worth RM600.

Anyone here use tempered glass screen protector? If yes, do you find any problem with touch / pen accuracy?

Wanna ask, does surface 3 capable to run illustrator and photoshop?

I'm using Photoshop CC regularly on Surface 3. Photoshop loads around 15-20 seconds. Overall experience not bad.

Though, I'm genuinely curious how you scratch your screen. I've been using my SP for 2 years + without a single scratches on screen. Same goes to my phone and any other devices using Gorilla Glass.
I'm not spewing misinformation, I saw many scratch test for Gorilla Glass 4 and they held up pretty well and I don't remember seeing any failed test except for shattering.

I'm scared of not using any screen protector on my Surface 3, but I have other concerns if I use it:

1. Might reduce pen accuracy.
2. Might reduce display accuracy. Surface 3 has one of the most accurate factory-calibrated display ever and I'm afraid putting screen protector will reduce that.

yes, i think what u mentioned can be done in surface 3.

my only complain on surface 3 is short battery life (5 hours)

I'm getting 5-6 hours out of my Surface 3. This is with brightness set to 45%. In case I need more, I can always use my Xiaomi 16000 MAh powerbank to get another 6-8 hours.

Guys,i think there is prpblem with my surface pro 1, the power button is not responding well, and sometimes its bsod then i have to wait until the battery is out, then push the power button unti hit the spot then it will turn on..

Any fix on this? I still have extended warranty with harvey norman, do you think they will accept it?

Thanks guys

Had exactly the same problem. My SP1 power button is "sticky" and had to push really hard. Sent to Harvey Norman's extended warranty, and they found out the motherboard is un-repairable, so I'm entitled for a replacement. As SP1 is no longer sold, they gave me a voucher amount of my original SP1 value. Used that voucher to get a new Surface 3 at very cheap price. I don't need SP4 as I already had a company laptop.

Just call Harvey Norman extended warranty and they will guide you:
