I just bought the Surface 3. It is still on Windows 8.1.

Is Windows 10 ready for prime time yet? Are the bugs ironed out yet? Please kindly advise. Thanks.

I am using the 2GB / 64GB version. It is pretty good in Windows 8.1

Windows 10 is more future proof.

How about the battery life? Thanks for sharing.

Concur to that. Surface 3 is fast enough for light computing. Don't buy into Intel I series processor unless you intend to make processor intensive task. Casual browsing and Microsoft office apps are not processor intensive.

If budget allows, go for the 4GB memory version. I'm using 2GB and I'm very happy with its performance. Just sharing

I bought my surface 3 from Lazada just recently too but for the lower spec of 2GB/64GB. It went thru fine. I have only positive experience with Lazada purchases. perhaps that particular vendor is the one to blame. Do complain to Lazada as the vendor will be penalized

actually i think they were clearing stock. my surface 3 is a lot less than what u paid for your higher spec unit.

maybe they over sold and couldn't restock at the old cost.

upon checking windows update, a new firmware was downloaded after installed, battery life estimation becomes more accurate.

I love the auto tablet mode. With the keyboard in its normal position, Windows 10 on surface switches to desktop mode. When I flip the keyboard to the back, Windows switches to tablet mode. Nice!

for those Surface 3 users who have upgraded to Windows 10 TH2, it is better to update the drivers and firmware to Nov release. I had some issue with battery loss during standby after updated to Windows 10. After applying the Nov firmware update, the battery life during standby has improved tremendously.

It should, but not happening. I don't know why. So just installed on my own and Windows 10 is running great, just like Windows 8.1 was with this machine.

The surface 3 on discount is alright. But saw some prices approaching 3k.... then it would be better to get Surface Pro 3.

Surface 3: Performance wise, it is great for media consumption and some basic computing. MS Office starts up super fast. Word and Excel start up in 2 to 3 seconds. Movies are definitely OK.

On surface 3. Windows 10. Yes. The app crashes too often. Now using it on Chrome.
