Well, the second day the SP3 was with me, I dropped it and cracked the screen. So I sent it to MS for repairs.
It's supposed to be back soon, and right now I'm quite afraid to use it. And I also need the cash for something else.
*
whattt.. after 2 days already cracked the screen sweat.gif

Glad to hear you're getting good use from it and hope it continues to serve you well.

How's the battery holding up? Has it degraded more than 20%?
*
usually i just plug-in for heavy stuff usage..but for normal usage i think its only last 3 hours

QUOTE(Xirality @ Oct 13 2015, 04:31 PM)
Impressive performance  rclxms.gif

What more if you using Surface Book with dGPU, easily render it below 2-3 min.
*
hmmm i don't think it will gain that much..since i'm using scanline renderer which is used CPU to calculate. There is GPU renderer option but for me its hassle to set up and the result is not tht great. The SP1 Intel i5 Ivy Bridge is still great cpu only using more battery juice

Before this i'm using Surface Pro first gen(i5/4gb ram/128gb) almost 5 years..
i bought during discount last time around RM2.2k with touch keyboard

still working great actually..only the battery cannot last more than 2 hours
and the kickstand also getting wobble after my daughter step on it since last time only have 1 position

btw the new Surface Go almost same size with the original Surface Pro..but the weight almost half. 910gm vs 500gm sweat.gif

And priced more than rm100 from USD price. 😭
*
still ok la..since our ringgit still not stable sweat.gif

we still need to grateful to Microsoft Malaysia that they release the Surface line over here since Surface 1..our neighbor Indonesia till today still never get any Surface product officially

last year i bought Oculus Rift VR from Amazon that suppose to cost $399..around less RM1.7k..but after add shipping and tax it cost RM2200+. plus no warranty over here.

So the Surface Go 64gb $399 price at RM1749 is still ok also

i make some comparison geekbench benchmark between my 2013 and 2017 Surface Pro vs Surface Go.
Unfortunately the Pentium Gold 4415Y still lost to 5 years older Surface Pro i5 3317u cpu sweat.gif
Sure it will win in battery and heat benchmark hehe

Eerr such as? The reason i attracted is because of the small size compare to normal laptop
*
you can do anything like normal laptop can do just know the hardware limitation

like games..most casual games on windows store is running great on it. Sure it cant play pubg or any modern pc games but classic like even doom 3 is still playable on it

i'm a designer and used the original Surface Pro 2013 which is almost equivalent size and speed as Surface Go. I have a proper workstation at home but use the Surface as on the go tools. Here is some sample of my work that i have done 100% on the Surface:

my surface pro charger gone missing during event last month..original charger is too expensive for me (RM300+ doh.gif )..and the 3rd party charger i don't trust tht much.
So i try the best alternative is using USB-C to Surface Connector cable (RM20) and Ugreen PD Charger USB-C 45w(RM72) an it works quite well. If the cable got rosak just simply bought a new one. It also include usb type-A 12w same like the original surface which is quite nice.
Can charge my Oculus Quest no issue also thumbup.gif

Just received my Surface Go 2 m3.. replacing my aging 7 years old Surface Pro 1. I much prefer this small form factor compare to current Surface Pro.

Most review on Youtube said the speaker sound is too soft compare to Ipad but surprisingly is quite good. Way better than than SP1.

Base on Geekbench 5 the Go 2 is around 50% faster than SP1. Almost equivalent performance like Macbook Pro i5 2015 or Surface Pro 4 i5 which is good enough for me.

I have the 8GB SQ1 256GB Surface Pro X since about a year now. I'd say for your use-case, get the SPX. Mine is similar to yours, except I dont open 10-20 tabs in my browser, but I use more OneNote, Excel and Word. It works a treat and I love my SPX (it's my daily driver). Trust me, once you put a SIM card in there and enjoy the LTE anywhere, it's hard to go back to a non-LTE device. Totally worth it! Alongside the fact that it is thinner, lighter and has smaller bezels than the SP7.
*
I also love the LTE on Surface Go 2. There is no none LTE version for the Intel M3 version here .. at first feel so membazir need to paid more for feature that i wont use.

After i test using Unifi prepaid sim card for RM20 it kind of essential and great feature. and for the past 7 month using the sim card.. i never top up.. just use the 1GB free everyday.
