I am not sure why but I have now a problem with my pro 3 which was not there previously. I can no longer tether it to my android phone. It detects the android AP address but it does not come out with an option to type in the password. Once I press connect, it will mention that it cannot connect to that wifi. Connecting to other Wi-Fi connections are ok. My phone is also working ok because I can tether other devices to it. Very disappointed because that connection is vital for me

have you tried to make your surface forget that connection and then re-setup the connection again?

Also, I don't recommend using default SSID "AndroidAP". change it to something else because most people don't bother to change ends up conflicting when multiple access points with the same SSID appears within small radius...

Thanks for the tip.
Yeah, did try that but unlike a regular laptop, I can't seem to get an option to "forget" the address. Right clicking does not work. Would you happen to know how to "forget" the connection?

Else your phone make new SSID name then use your surface to connect it
Like that you can skip the remove connection step

Worked. Thanks!

Hi guys,
Sorry, have not been a regular in this thread.
Want to ask three things about problems with my pro 3. Apologize if this has been covered in earlier pages
1. My keyboard tends to become quite insensitive (typings don't appear) now and again, usually after i use it for awhile. The only consistent time I notice this is when the surface is hot - but I don't know whether that is really the cause. Or whether it is jus a lousy keyboard. Not sure if upgrading to the surface 4 keyboard will help - expensive experiment!
2. i bought this surface to use it as my main driver at work but I find that whenever I connect it to my molie hotspot - it gobbles up all my data. I am uncertain whether this is caused by the windows 10 system that keeps on needing to upgrade (I did not notice any upgrading in the two times that this happened) or whether it is caused by problems with OneDrive syncing
3. Not quite related o this forum but when I got this device, I planned to migrate all my stuff to the winows platform and this included the OneDrive. This cloud (compared to dropbox) drives me crazy as that are a lot of problems with the syncing across windows devices. For eg. I keep o getting this window appearing at my bottom right screen "folder changes couldn't be merged. We created new copies of the xxx folders so that you don't lose any work. Click to browse to these folders"
What is does not tell me is WHY the folders cannot be synced. I have tried finding out many times but have not managed to. I weas told it might be windows 10 tething problems but it has gone on far too long to be teething problems.
Anybody able to help with my issues? Due to these problems, I have refrained from using this tablet now at work.

anyone can advise? I lost my power cable for my SP3 and can't charge my surface now. I checked out the original replacement is RM340. Anyone knows of cheaper (but safe) alternatives?
