Am using acer switch 10, still can deal with above all.. but sometimes is squeezing 2GB RAm to the max. So, thought of upgrade. 3:2 ratio is good, too.

Hi all, did some research on SP3 heating issue. Apparently, i3 doesn't seem to have much heating issue in compared to i5 and i7 and fan doesn't kicks in often. Any i3 users can confirm about this? Am looking for larger screen to replace my switch 10. But already spoiled by not having electronics beneth keyboard=cold typing experience.. So, not much options out there..

Seems like SP3 is a good buy after SP4 release.. =)

Just buy from thunder match midv la. Checked yesterday, they got stock. While garden Microsoft only has m3 in stock.

Really? I always think that i5 is overkill for my purpose. I have a atom 2 in 1 laptop that can full fill my usage of internet, office, MT4, and torrent. Only problem is that I need to connect to 3 monitors.. Maybe can consider m3

Checked review on reddit and youtube. If you don't play game, m3 core is sufficient and many say that the temperature is very good for a fanless machine.

SP4 m3.. surface 3 charging is slow I heard.

Not a Surface user yet.. But I have an atom laptop and a 15 inch 5th gen i7 laptop. Been using atom laptop for months. Then last week when I switch on the laptop, I feel that it is noisy as soon as I turn it on.

Sekali cuba fanless machine, hari hari mau Making me tempted to sell both to get m3 sp4

HP released spectra x2 with similar spec, cheaper.. I'm still waiting for lenovo miix 700 for comparision..

For light usage, wont... such as open 4, 5 tabs with light Microsoft words and spotify.. But you will notice it when the size of office is large. Prefer to get 4GB.

Still waiting for my bonus and review of miix 700 before decide which to buy.
But thus far, SP4 has better heat management.

Just got sp4 i5. But I find that it heats up with just light surfing in compared to my atom Acer switch 10. I'm wondering if it is because of Firefox.

Just different expectation on passive cooling. I was expecting much cooler. It gets warmer compared to my 2 in 1 atom laptop, but the temperature remains throughout my usage. Fan only kicks in once when I installed antivirus.

If I compare i5 model to laptop, that heat is actually very good. Most importantly, there is no hinge. The hinge of my 15 inch envy broken, which brought me to SP4

After I been using it for whole day today, yeah nothing wrong . And in fact, I am happy with the surface experience.

I found that the battery just nice for my usage. I skype call, online, office, spotify from 7PM to 10PM. Left 50%.
Only if I play video, then battery drains pretty fast.

BTW, I notice that if I browse with EDGE, SP gets warm pretty fast and fan kicks in. But when I change to IE, no such issue, SP doesn't get warm.

Go with the 4GB instead. Give you a smooth multi-task experience.
