Depends on the model. You can get the basic Pro 3 with Type cover at about 3,500, but the higher ones are 4,300 or so and above.

I know because I was looking yesterday. For the Surface 3 (128 GB / 4 GB RAM) but nobody has it. Nobody. NOBODYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

i5 4GB ram vs Core M 8GB ram
Need it to do heavy browsing + editing raw file in photoshop
I wonder can Core M mange the raw file or not?
I saw Toshiba portege z20t editing raw file in photoshop having delay or lag when adjusting the bar. Might get even worse when doing multiple layer editing.
While concern on SP3 is battery life and heating issue. 4GB ram might not enough for me to do heavy browsing.
Any suggestion?

usually i just plug-in for heavy stuff usage..but for normal usage i think its only last 3 hours
hmmm i don't think it will gain that much..since i'm using scanline renderer which is used CPU to calculate. There is GPU renderer option but for me its hassle to set up and the result is not tht great. The SP1 Intel i5 Ivy Bridge is still great cpu only using more battery juice

I'm looking for 3-4 years of laptop lifetime too.
Think Core M is out of my option now.

it includes the SurfacePen (normal one), not the special edition one.
there are a lot of sources confirming it (earlier replies here too) as well.
pricey but it is worth considering the improvements (proc, better storage etc).
personally if u have a SP3, jz replace the type cover and you are good to go for now
