Dude, for vintage punk sound you gotta get p90's guitars. I love the Gibson that Carl from Libertines use, now that's punk. ah.. Libertines... where av they gone to..

I think the Les Paul Junior with a p90 pickup should do it! Nyum!!! same as that Greenday guy wossisname use. With punk its all about simplicity and some low slung, downstroking action!!!

Special II is a great option, but the problem is you won't hav the cavity to fit in a P90, which means u gona av o get the P-91s i.e. headaches.

I checked out Musicianfrens (i no fren2 wit them tho) and the Epi Les Paul jr. costs USD99.99! not bad eh? i think the atual price is around USD199.99 though but whatever, it still wont be over RM1000 which is within ur budget innit? plus u still get the option to upgrade to a Gibson's p90 when you finally get your EPF money

Woh Fatt, Yamaha Subang Parade, that shop in MidValley can take direct orders from the epi supplier. Just flip thru the epi catalogue and start pointing haha

haha you might wanna order that one from Singapore, Woh Fatass, or that Mid Valley shop. RM1500 is not reeeeally a guitar range price though. you might wanna look at it like this:

400-700 (squire,juniors,sx)

1200+/- (Squire standards, Yamahas? not sure about their prices)

2K +/- (epi les pauls etc)

so add another RM500!!! forget the amp!! mwahahahahaha
