1080p 60fps
stuck for about 2-3 second then smooth all the way until the end of the video

VIP5 here. Absolutely no problems at all. Not even stuck for 1 second. smile.gif

Me too.

I am using IPv6 with OpenDNS as well.

During the day_ yes.

If that is the case, I suspect your neighbour or neighbours could have activated their wireless routers after work and
their wireless signals have interfered with yours.

You can check out the wireless signal status in your house and immediate vicinity with the InSSIDer software.

If there are any clashes with the wireless channels your neighbours are using, you can choose one which is not used by them.

TM offered me for upgrade from VIP 10 to 30mbps plan. We had our conversation on Wednesday. When can I expect the upgrade to take place?

They didn't tell you? shocking.gif

But I do not see any relation to DNS with youtube streaming.

Anyways I am not using  TM DNS but Google DNS.
*
Obviously the choice of DNS has nothing to do with the speed of youtube streaming.

The primary purpose of a DNS is to resolve a domain name into an IP address. smile.gif

What if TM block those DNS? Nobody know what TM have done on their system.
*
If TM really blocks those DNS, you will not be able to access the Internet at all. Just like when the DNS is down.

I have been using OpenDNS since day one I had UniFi and I have absolutely no problems whatsoever.

They ad announce better use AUTO DNS, while they will block those custom DNS.
*
Did TM explicitly say that they will block those custom DNS?

I didn't see that in their announcement. biggrin.gif

I am referring to the TM announcement which did not say they will explicitly block other custom DNS. smile.gif

looks good. Not sure where I could buy one tho  hmm.gif
Look like only 600Mbps, no?
*
The RT-N18U is a gigabit router (for LAN and WAN ports).

The 600Mbps is the wireless N throughput of the router. smile.gif

FYI, the AC3200 is around RM1,500.

Is my VIP5 speedtest result considered OK?

Why is the connection under Grade B?

That is really a shame.

I can stream 1080p at 60fps smoothly on my VIP5.
