Bought TP Link TL-WDR4300 just now. Now this super noob need your help  After do a quick reading on the setup, few things I not clear,  Where to get unifi username and password?  for No 6, I need to tick 1st choice or 2nd choice?  lastly, for no 7. Both (5GHz/2.4GHz) or 2.4GHz only or 5GHz only? |

Although not having anymore problem, but still want to ask anyway for knowledges
What is ap? What advantage it gives compared to using direct connection between modem--> router --> pc/laptop/smartphone ?

After a week using my new router , TP Link WDR4300 - wifi speedtest using smartphone (using 5Ghz frequency) will get me >30mbps all the times. while using my laptop (using 2.4Ghz frequency) will get me around 15-30 mbps. Problem is I download things using laptop not smartphone  How to make my laptop to get stable 30mbps wireless speed? Current wireless device is built-in my laptop I guess. It cant detect 5Ghz...Will getting external dual band wireless device solve the problem? |

Astro called me. Explained that now TM and astro already collaborating or something.
Offer me Astro Iptv with no charges for installation and setting.
Benefit that i will get, rebate rm25 for astro bills every months, no more signal problem when raining, free all hd channel for 3 months and free new router and new decoder.
Lol. What you guys think. Should I take it? What im afraid is the router they will give is a crap one. I already bought my own router thanks to the crap stock router provided by tm.
If I agree they will send 2 tech, one from tm and one from astro..

Eh new term i heard here. What is wireless usb? Sorry noobie here lol.
Btw for those having problem not getting 30mbps wifi speed after upgrade, i also experienced the same.
Getting crap speed with crap stock router. After recommendation by blacktubi, i changed to tp link wdr4300 and walla...so far satisfied. My only complain is not stable using 2.4Ghz although there are only about 4 neighbour's wifi that detectable from my house. 5Hhz, no problem at all.
