Hi guys, I'm still running prehistoric speeds of 5mbps (VIP5 package) and recently I got an email with the offer to upgrade to 10mbps for RM179. Any feedback? Should I upgrade?

y tm net still charging my fren around 170+ for 5mbps line? Top download can go 580-600KB/s only. is he overpaying? i tot they say will realign with their new package?

This is especially true for users staying at high-rise apartments due to many interfering wireless access points from neighbors.

Even I am using an Asus RT-N12HP (With 9dBi high gain antennas), The best I could get is around 17Mbps if I am nearer to the router, but it can go as low as just 5Mbps if I am in my room, away from the router. There are just too many neighboring access points on all channels. Switching channels won't do much of a help anyway.

It was worst in the past when I was using TP-Link WR841ND and TM's D-Link DIR-615, where I could get ping time of > 1000ms between device and router.

I strongly recommend using direct cable (Ethernet) OR alternatively, the HomePlug technology (Ethernet over power lines). In both cases, when performing speed test, the speed peaks at close to 50Mbps before settling down around 30Mbps.

I just move to new house.
I have apply to register the unifi at my new house.
After a day, unifi call me said my area don't have coverage.
But.... my neighbor, left and right, both using unifi.
wtf unifi said my house don't have coverage.

Yup. No issue with wired connection.

Anyway guys, you can try to set wireless mode to N only instead BGN mode for TM router.
I managed to get 27-30Mbps wifi connection with this setting.

Been getting a only 5mbps on unifi30 even when off peak hour.

I am subscribing vip10 but always getting speed about 9.5mbps..is there any way where I can increase my speed close to 10mbps?

Sometimes get connection drop, ie page stops loading halfway, so I have to refresh the webpage
This is prevalent when using youtube, the video stops loading, I have to refresh the page for it to resume playing
Is this normal or hardware issue?
