Guys, I don't have any notification sound from Windows 10 when I unplug/plugin my XBOX One controller via USB. The controller still works fine. Is this normal?
Because all USB hardware will give out notification sound or bing when I plug or unplug something. My XBOX 360 controllers also will have the notification sound from Windows 10.
Kindly advise.

QUOTE(Vigilant @ Nov 21 2016, 11:12 AM) I see. Thanks for the info The only issue I have encountered for the Xbox One controller is that the stuck shoulder buttons. It has also happened to my Razer Serval Gamepad which is basically the same as Xbox One Controller. I have managed to fix it via performing "surgery" to my controller with a Philip head screwdriver and a flat head screwdriver. Oddly, this did not happen to my wired Xbox 360 controllers which are almost a decade old. This post has been edited by kianweic: Nov 21 2016, 12:43 PM

I wonder if the Xbox One Elite controller is more durable. However, I do find Elite controllers too pricey.

Hi guys, I'm new to the whole controllers thing, just got myself an Xbox One controller, with the wireless adapter bought separately. Hope you guys can help me out with this issue I'm facing. I've installed the drivers but what's happening now is when I use the controller in wired mode I don't get any problems, but when I use it in wireless mode, somehow my L1 and R1 buttons are mapped to the Select and Start buttons respectively. Can't solve this issue no matter how many times I reinstall the drivers. Driver files downloaded directly from Microsoft, using Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit.

No issue on my controller so far on win10 just plug update controller firmware and play. But as i remembered xbox360 controller works fine on windows 7.

My understanding that the wireless Xbox One controller only works on Windows 10 with the anniversary update (which we will be forced to update anyways).
