I am currently setting up a home office network and I do not want to pull some ethernet cables to the 3rd floor.

However I am planning to do plenty of internet banking transactions through wifi and I am wondering if a 12 digit password would be secure enough.

If its not is there any other options to completely secure my wifi enough for me to do online banking or even transfer any sensitive data transfer safely ? At least as safe as through 3G or even better (unless I am wrong about 3g security)

I have always used to do my online transactions through a pc wired to the router. Not anymore though.

Would really appreciate some advice here. notworthy.gif

If is your own Internet, then you are pretty safe. If you are worried, add in a vpn. Also use anti keylogging programs like zemana anti keylogger (free/paid- easy to get as they have promo every few months), bitdefender safe pay (free).

If you're using kaspersky Internet security or avast pro, they have a feature likr bitdefender safety. Kaspersky was thr first one to come up with that technology.

If you want to add a vpn, feel free to PM me.

You can lock your wifi to ONLY your PC mac address. And hide your SSID.

Vpn protects your internet traffic. Antikeylogger protects your system. So if you have a trojan installed (most trojan have the ability to capture whatever you type/anything on your screen), a vpn is useless. That's where antikeylogger comes in.

Those safe browser prevents whatever you type from being captured by any software.

FYI

avast Antivirus come with a function which called " Safezone Browser" is really suitable for u to do any online transaction without leaving any trace~~

Normal browser like Gxxgle Chrxme or Mxzila Firefxx is a software, so hacker is able to hack the software and get ur information~
but for Safezone Browser is a kind of function that come with the antivirus function~
it only using RAM to running this function~
so if u do any online transaction with using this, there is no detail or info will let in ur comp, even cant detect ur ip address too~~
so this is really safe and suitable for u to do ur online transaction XD

hope this info will help u XD

or u can msg me if u wan to know more XD

have a nice day~~~ smile.gif smile.gif smile.gif
